Touch, the single before? All pop albums have these kinda tropical influences, I thought they were jumping on the bandwagon too late at the time and it was dying off, but loads of artists are still doing it.

Well 'Touch' had a touch of individuality, I really do think NMSS is just a blatant identikit copycat of so many identical sounding tropical house/pop songs that had been knocking around for a year or two before it.

Wasn't Forever a trend chasing era? Hopping on to RnB because Destiny's Child and TLC had become huge? Not to mention in followed Pink's RnB album :P

I can't remember beige, also ran albums sorry so have no idea what that last one is.

However they wanted a more 'mature' sound, basically, and so changed from pop, although tbh it DID trend chase a little, but after setting and establishing the pop sound for the mid to late 90s, they can be excused for trying to remain relevant in their dying days.

Not saying I disagree that there's anything wrong with it but which popular artists jumped on the bandwagon making their sound suddenly Britpop or Indie?

Robbie Williams?

Robbie Williams?

Nah, he launched himself with an edgy pop sound. "Angels" aside of course

Wouldn't be surprised if iTunes crashes several times because of the overload of Justin fans.
LOVE the new JB! (And I'm not even a big JB fan 😂)
Love 'Friends'

I want that to kickstart a trend of that sound and do away with the tropical/Chainsmokers-lite.

How would you describe it?

How would you describe it?

It's basically Sorry mixed with that sort of dark pop trend for want of a better word, songs like Jason Derulo - Cheyenne, Taylor Swift - Style and Olly Murs - Kiss Me.
