  • We have a new update for Wannabe from the Official Charts Company, it's now on 2,740,000! Source: https://www.officialcharts.com/chart-news/spice-girls-reunion-world-tour/ Last update we had was 2,40

Sadly I don't think any of their studio albums will reach those targets any time soon. To the point we might not see it happen until the 2040s, lol, unless a reunion gives their music a very impactful

It's true! No Scrubs took just 90 weeks to improve from 4xPlatinum to 5xPlatinum. It seems like it might "sell" double what Wannabe does each week. I suppose it's all down to heavy playlisting to go

There is someone on the kylie forum that has access to a database with accurate sales inc steaming, it would be awesome to get the figures for all spice and solo singles and albums.

We got all the figures for kylie singles and albums since 1994.

Jay because from 155,000 they went to 114,000? there is a big difference in sales...

In the 2000s, OCC retroactively decided to lower sales figures from 1994 to 1996. It’s complicated to explain but there’s some chat about it here: http://www.buzzjack.com/forums/index.php?s...t&p=2613126

Spice was thought to have sold over 3,120,000 copies by the end of the 90s, however by 2009 it was only 2,928,846

I messaged with a request the other day :D Maybe in a week from now we’ll have some new totals

TBF - are there any sales figures of interest? I think we're all waiting for the GH to go 3xPlatinum

I think there's quite a few figures that'll be interesting to know:

- Wannabe: find out how far away from 3xPlat it currently is

- Stop: will now be in the 500,000+ region, it would be great to be able to work out how long it'll likely be until it reaches Platinum

- Forever: we've only had rounded figures in recent years, so it would be nice to have something more precise

- Mi Chico Latino: 2 years ago it was 17,000 away from 400k - we can find out how close to Gold it currently is

- It's Raining Men: could be getting close to 500k

- New sales figures for all of the solo songs that haven't had updates in 10 years(!). Of course the majority of them won't have added lots on, but would still be fantastic to have recent figures

- Sales figures for solo songs/albums released in the 2010s that we don't have total sales for

Basically all this B-)

I wanna know how much HOLLER has sold but probably not even close to 2,000 since last update <_<

Good news this week - Greatest Hits climbed to #127! Was it helped along by the Olympics anniversary, I wonder?

It sold 979 sales (336 physicals, 58 downloads, 585 streaming), which was 100 more sales than the previous week (up 11.4%). Total sales are now 611,567.

This is the album's 75th week in the Top 200, the last 15 of them being consecutively. This is the second occasion that the Greatest Hits has outlasted its original 2007/8 chart run!

[9th Entry: 09/11/2018] 69-25-72-81-54-47-44-43-52-81-130-149-148-164-157-192-190-198-183-Out (19 weeks)

[11th Entry: 10/05/2019] 177-151-107-24-16-24-19-76-113-15-124-143-153-160-127... (15 weeks)

[1st Entry: 18/11/2007] 02-07-12-13-22-27-29-34-36-39-41-67-107-138-Out (14 weeks)

Would be nice if the current run can stretch to 20+ weeks, fingers crossed.

Wow, only 288,453 copies left until 3xPlatinum :cheer:

I used the worldwide chart runs thread to compile a list of the highest chart positions of the singles in the UK (taking into account Scotland and Wales independent charts as well as the UK combined one - can't seem to see an English stand alone chart?). Thought it was interesting to see some of the different peaks this is what it looks like:

1. Wannabe [#1]

2. Say you’ll be there [#1]

3. 2 become 1 [#1]

4. Mama / Who do you think you are [#1]

Below are the ones that had better charting positions in either Scotland or Wales than on the overall UK chart:

1. When you’re gone [#2 - #3 UK]

2. Downtown [#2 - #3 UK]

3. Going down [#3 - #4 UK]

4. Ride it [#3 - #4 UK]

5. Free me [#4 - #5 UK]

6. Maybe [#4 - #6 UK]

7. Here it comes again [#6 - #7 UK]

8. Headlines [#7 - #11 UK]

9. I want candy [#7 - #24 UK]

10. Next best superstar [#8 - #10 UK]

11. Loving you (with Matt Cardle) [#11 - #14 UK]

12. On the horizon [#12 - #14 UK]

13. It’s only rock n roll [#16 - #19 UK]

14. Carolyna [#19 - #49 UK]

15. Desire [#19 - #22 UK]

16. All I need to know [#22 - #60 UK]

17. This time [#32 - #94 UK]

18. Today [#38 - #41 UK]

19. Angels in chains [#71 – Did not chart UK]

Some of them are pretty huge like Carolyna from a not top 40 to a top 20.

All I need to know from #60 to #22.

Headlines from not top 10 to a top 10 :(

I want candy from #24 to #7!

Angels in chains from not charting at all to #71

The OCC wrote an article the other day in celebration of LM's 8th year anniversary. The article included their Top 20 best selling singles (with sales) along with the order of most successful albums.

Even with the 20th anniversary and then the 2019 tour we never got anything like this. Fingers crossed for some articles in the future, along with some sales updates.

Will be interesting to see how the SG faired at the end of 2019 after an active year :)

I also noticed the OCC were unusually generous with their sales information for the Little Mix article. Here's hoping they continue!
