Why Mama / Who do you are sales 845,000 while the last update with the two combined was at 936,317?

 

 

That was the combined sales of the double a/side CD and then downloads of both WDYTYA and Mama so an unofficial overall sales total. Download / streaming sales of Mama do not contribute towards the singles total only WDYTYA does. Combined the total is now 960,472

I wish Goodbye wasn’t such a slow seller. Considering it’s done around 900k in pure sales it deserves to be a millionaire. So many millionaires right now on inflated sales and barely a third of ‘Goodbye’s’ actual sales 😢

Well, I'm getting my Werther's ready because I only need to live to 125 to see it happening. No problem, I live on darkness and vodka anyway.

 

I hope Wannabe will always be the best selling girl group single, but Little Mix - Shout Out to My Ex could give it a run for its money in a few years :drama: Shout Out went 3xPlatinum yesterday (1,800,000+). That's roughly 145,000 behind Wannabe. It's closed the gap by quite a bit because in May 2019 the difference between their total sales was roughly 190,000.

 

It really wouldn't feel right for Wannabe to not be the best selling girl group song... it is the iconic girl group song.

 

If their weekly average sales continued to be as they are, Shout Out would overtake Wannabe in October 2024, by which time they'd both be on roughly 2,536,000 sales. Hmm...

That list was a bit ridiculous in places, for example the #18 peaking Bad Vibe by M.O being higher than #1 songs such as Independent Women, Survivor, The Promise, Push the Button... <_<
