World of Madame X mini documentary has been released. From MadonnaTribe:

Madonna has released a 23-minute documentary filmed in Lisbon and describing the World Of Madame X, and the inspiration behind her new album. In the documentary, which is a sort of longer version of the first album teasers Madonna shared on the social media last month, she is joined by some of the collaborators that were part of or inspired Madame X.

The documentary is directed by Nuno Xico and produced by Stephen Holtzhauser, Bob Semanovich and Sara Zambreno for

Eagle Rock Entertainment/Interscope.

It’s available for online streaming on Prime Video with English audio and optional English subtitles.

It will prob drop quite a bit all the Glastonbury artists will creep up .

Will be great if it doesn’t tho.

Where is it in the states ?

#18 in the midweeks! :o I'm shocked, I expected it to be out of the Top 30!

Me too! I always look at the midweeks in reverse order as I’m weird and as I went from 100 to like 30 I was thinking OMG she’s actually fell from 14 to like 140 but then I seen it at 18 and was thinking phew!!

That’s pretty good considering there’s a glasto effect for albums above her plus new entries as well.

I’m hoping this album gets three weeks top 20 to make up for just the one week top ten.

Rebel Heart got two weeks top 10 before dropping out the top 20.

I think it's unlikely to stay Top 20 as I think we'll see a greater Glastonbury effect in Tuesday's update (people who went to Glasto returning and purchasing/streaming music they heard there) but it's definitely showing signs of holding up better than I had anticipated.

Drops 1-77 in the US.

Wow!!!

#77 is that a record?

Edit: Just seen it’s not. There’s three albums what have dropped more.

The entire top ten list of BB200 drops are fairly recent tbh. Is it a tour bundles effect and streaming.

Yeah, a lot of album first week sales are inflated by tour bundles and streaming is much more dominant in the US than it is here, which explains why acts like Madonna suffer such huge falls.

Amazon have released Madonna's album documentary World of Madame X to their UK and US services. You can watch on this YouTube upload below:

Drowned Madonna:

The 22 minutes documentary is set in Lisbon, Portugal, where Madonna describes the World of Madame X, breaking down the album production, the inspiration behind the music and how Lisbon has influenced her life so far. She is also joined by collaborators that were part of or inspired Madame X, as well as sneak peaks of album photoshoot behind the scenes and music videos making of’s. The mini movie is directed by Nuno Xico.

Such an interesting watch and beautifully put together. Madonna's really put her all into this album; you can tell that she's learnt so much and teaches back to us in return. It's fascinating listening to her discuss the album's birth and journey, showing her appreciation for the music she's discovered and talk passionately about why she still does what she does.

I'm still getting so much from this album and I'm excited to see it solidify its position among my favourite Madonna albums, which I'm sure it will.

Wow 1 to 77! :o

I knew it wouldn’t stay top 5 or anything but I wasn’t expecting that type of drop. :(

Will pride increase sales this week?

We need an Ellen appearance with her performing.

Also where are the remixes for I Rise ?

Yes she did in the USA

But she is playing tiny theatres it’s not like she is playing arenas or stadiums.

She can’t be that far away from the top 10

Album sales are so close !

But she is playing tiny theatres it’s not like she is playing arenas or stadiums.

But she is playing multiple nights in each theater, i.e. a residency. If it hadn't been for the tour bundle, she wouldn't have debuted @ #1 in the USA.

Her popularity is waning. She has become a legacy act that only the fans care about.
