It would have been interesting to see how Passion would have done had it been released in the beginning of November 2004.

Ride It - July 04

Love Never Loved Me - Oct 04

Passion - Nov 04

Geri definitely needed to release the album after two singles. Especially since she was gone from the pop scene for 3 years.

A bit late on this, but it's a shame that they had such unrealistic expectations when it came to Passion - I feel that if they had gone with the original Disco Sister theme Geri could've had an okay third album era. Nothing huge, but I could've seen her having a couple of top tens (peaking somewhere in the 4-8 region) and a modest-selling Gold album. Unfortunately, they were aiming at number ones, Platinum album and an arena tour, which just made everything go south because it was just never going to happen.

Agreed she should habe continued with Disco Sister and ditched the pop electronic trying to be cooler numbers.

😍 Probably my favourite advert they did in the 90s, it’s so cool and iconic.

Agreed, Jay!

When I watch that Pepsi ad, it is so clear whey they captivated so many of us: every single one of them oozes charisma when they are together as a 5 piece. Of all 5, I think Mel B has the most natural "it" factor.

I managed to get the promo single of this at the time for very cheap, never really looked into seeing if it has held much value.

What a day that was on denden.

Geris dress and Victoria's boobs will forever be ridiculed.

Oh GOD what a day that was!! It was amazing to be in Spice World again, personally even if it was a bit weird lol

Victoria and Geri's looks took everyone's attentions (as usual) and not for the best of reasons. They both looked like they were trying hard but not really getting the point lol Mel C and Emma looked the best although both of them were known for using COLOUR a lot before and thus my main criticism would be that they should have had at least some shade of colour that wasnt black.

Mel B looked great but not herself. The boring secretary looked a bit meh for such an occasion, and of course she can pull it off, but we needed something a bit more spicy from her...

Since then, we have had quite a bit of nostalgia-driven projects from them which has been nice but we could totally do with something new lol

That has absolutely flew by! I was so excited that day and it was the first tour I have ever seen the girls on

The outfits they wore for that press conference though, what a mess, particularly Geri

Regarding the “black dress code” that Geri (and to an extent Mel B) defied - I think it’s a bit of a head scratcher that they even aimed to dress all in black, it’s a bit like… why? Were they all collectively determined to show that they were “all grown up” and not at all like their nicknames anymore?

Regardless of their choice in styling, I was unbelievably excited on that day! I was posting on DenDen all day while having the news channels on. It really felt like a massive event. I couldn’t believe it was finally happening.

That reunion occurred 11 years after the release of Wannabe, 9 years after Geri left & 6 and a half years after the Forever era (i.e. the last time the Spice Girls had been active). Random, but if the Spice Girls had stayed together in the public eye for the 11 years that Little Mix did, then 2007 would have been the year that the Spice Girls went on hiatus! Imagine them continually releasing albums throughout the early 2000s and not going solo? 🤯

Another anniversary: 26th June 2012 was the date that the 5 piece got together to launch the musical… 10 years ago! That was a bittersweet day. It was exciting, but it was hard to shake the feeling that things felt a bit off between Victoria and the other four.

10(!!!) years ago today:

Forever iconic. Whenever I watch this performance it still makes me feel so :w00t:

10 years since they last performed together as a 5 piece. That’s longer than this time gap:

26th May 1998: Spiceworld tour in Helsinki, Finland

16th Nov 2007: Children in Need performance of Headlines (Am I right in thinking that this was their first televised performance of their 2007 comeback?)
