Random observation that I've always wondered about: does anyone know why When I Grow Up has minimal certifications worldwide while pretty much all of their other singles seem to have up-to-date certifications?

For example, I Hate This Part has been certified Platinum in the US for a million sales but WIGU sold well over 2 million and hasn't been. WIGU was also #53 on the decade end chart in Australia and has only been certified 1x Platinum there while most of the songs behind it on that chart are multi-Platinum.

If this is due to their label, I'm wondering why this single was handled differently than the rest?

Maybe it has to do with Nicole's management and her getting the songs she was co-writer/producer on up to date? I have no idea obviously, but it might have something to do with it. Or maybe they kept up with the post-When I Grow Up singles better since they usually had lower peaks, so they felt like they had to "prove" they were more successful than their chart peaks?

Speaking to Sky News, Kimberley Wyatt insisted the trek is still going ahead, and she’s set aside September 2022 for the reunion tour.

“I hate that this situation is happening, but I’m just going to stay optimistic,” she said. “Nobody’s told me anything but the fact that we are going to be on tour September of next year, so I’m going to stay optimistic about that and sort of lay my heart into it because I’ve done everything I can to get this band back together.

“We just started and so I’m just going to continue to believe that we will figure it out, make it happen and be back on stage next year. “I think we owe it to our fans, we owe it to ourselves – so as much as I have no control over the situation. All I can do is just manifest and hope for the best.”

She added: “I’m in a tricky situation… this stuff has nothing to do with me. “It has very much to do with the girls, and just figuring out that ultimately when we get on stage, I want everybody to feel good. “I want them to want to be there, and I want to live the dream and nothing else matters. Like I hate drama.

“I think it’s so unnecessary, but maybe necessary for others, and I hope they can get the drama out the way so we could go and live the dream.”

Hmm, I don’t see it happening

I kind of think they should go ahead without Nicole (if they can?) - I think it'd still be successful, especially if Melody was involved!

Sad to hear, especially as it sounds like a bye for good. It must really be something money-related between Nicole and Robin and the consequent struggle power/right on the PCD brand.

Odd how two members have a joint statement on socials, two are keeping quiet, Nicole and Robin are hardly saying anything new, just dropping hints

I think Ashley and Kim are smart to keep quiet right now, and not suprised they're going that route as they have more notoriety (and more to lose) than Jess and Carmit.
TBH I went to a Nicole solo show in Soho in 2019 and someone asked about the PCD reunion then and she scoffed about it and was like "I'm not talking about that". So I'm not overly sure she's ever really wanted to do it... not overly surprised at this outcome.
I'm a bit gutted but not surprised by this. It really hasn't helped quell any of the rumours about PCD drama back in the day!
I find it weird Nicole would pull out though, it’s legit her only and last chance of performing in arenas

shes making dough with NBC though isn't she? She just did Annie Live.

It wouldn't surprise me if Nicole made unreasonable demands that she knew they were never going to give her as a way out (and hey, if they did, more money to her!). I'm assuming that with the tour constantly being pushed it's hard for her to sign onto any long-term contracts.
Melody was right not to join this mess.

I don't think Nicole was the problem. Robin has the most control over the entire project and she's claiming she only found out the tour was cancelled from Nicole's Instagram? Bullshit. Plus Kim has said she's still on really good terms with Nicole, and her and Ashley are best friends.

Meanwhile Jess and Carmit (who live in America) are posting the same statements together. Seems like there's a bit of a divide in the camp.

(On a side note I can't STAND how Robin always acts like she's a Doll. She 'performed' with them years ago and it was so unbelievably cringe, she was joining them in interviews for their reunion and now her Instagram posting is thanking 'our fans'. Like, I'm sure we appreciate she put the girls together but I don't know any other manager who tries to get into the spotlight as much as her)
