I don’t know if it was BLACKPINK on carpool karaoke but here are the Wannabe charts on Shazam

#32 Taiwan

#37 Thailand

#48 Japan

#127 South Korea

#172 Indonesia

#199 China

The Greatest HIts is also at #4 Papua New Guinea and #91 United Kingdom on iTunes

Come THROUGH Papua New Guinea, YAS! :rap:  :cheer:

So that makes it TWO countries where the Greatest Hits hits #1,or was it just #1 on iTunes?

Wannabe was peaked #39 at Shazam Japan chart.

It is not because of Blackpink,

Japanese comedian featured Wannabe for his appearance of Britain’s Got Talent.lol

Japanese news show telling this heavily.

A few people seemingly not knowing Wannabe to need to Shazam it? :o

Yeah it's a song identifying app! Although some people do use an auto feature, which makes Shazam detect every piece of music it is close by, so the person wasn't specifically wondeirng about those songs. So perhaps some of Wannabe's numbers are a result of that.

Nice! That puts them in 8th spot when it comes to the 90s only. Although I wouldn't count Dancing in the Moonlight as 90s... it wasn't released as a single until 2000.

I wonder if any other Spice Girls songs appeared in the Top 300?

Is there a way to find out the Top 300?

Is there a way to find out the Top 300?

I can't find the Top 300 published anywhere and it seems like the only way to find out is by going through the shows aired on this radio station: https://planetradio.co.uk/greatest-hits/player/?region=ghb from 5th May to 8th May. Which I have done ( :drama: ) but it was frustrating. Some of the DJs completely skipped over some positions without mentioning which song was at that position. So I can't be 100% sure that these are the only two songs in the list by Spice Girls, although I feel like it's likely:

212th Stop

281st Spice Up Your Life

^ based on their UK sales updates in recent years it does seem like Spice Up Your Life is their third most streamed in the UK, ahead of Say You'll Be There and 2 Become 1 which I assume are not Top 300.

When You're Gone is a question mark for me - wondering if it could be Top 300 but one of the songs not revealed.

A good point, I’m not sure if a British feature is enough for inclusion, or if the lead artist has to be British hmm!

Fantastic work, J!

______________

^ Fleetwood Mac are included, and not all of their members are British.

Thank you Voodoo! it took me a number of hours (with breaks!) to get that list together

Well... I am confusion as well on this as the Official Charts page does point towards this page and if you scroll down it does give you a chart breakdown as well, but the Spice Girls (and many other artists) are in different position?.... :???:

Here it is: https://planetradio.co.uk/greatest-hits/sta...treaming-chart/

This chart says that the number 36 is AC/DC and the only entry for the Spice Girls is at #70 with Wannabe, and no other entry in the chart at all  Plus, there seems to be a lot of differences form the charts that OC posted...

My only guess is that the list above is the International artists one whereas the one that the OC posted is for Brits only? In which case then Wannabe is the 70th most streamed song in the world from those eras, whereas it is the #36 in the UK?...
