October 8, 20177 yr I'm always hyped for The Man In The High Castle. I don't think Season 3's release has been announced yet but I hope it's this side of Christmas as it's always a good binge during the holidays!

October 8, 20177 yr I think the only thing I've watched like all year on Amazon Prime is Tracey Beaker
October 8, 20177 yr Author The only time I’ve used Amazon Prime was when I had the six month Amazon Student trial but I hardly even used it. It might have changed now but it seemed as though they didn’t even have many full series for completed shows! I found something I wanted to watch and it only ended up having 2/3 seasons out of say 6/7! I found it hard to search for stuff too because it would show DVDs and stuff too so I was never sure what they did have and what they didn’t! That said, I am interested in The Man in the High Castle!
October 8, 20177 yr Amazon Prime is just so basic compared to Netflix, The Man In The High Castle was the only thing I found worth watching when I had the student trial. They really need to step up their game I think!
October 8, 20177 yr There was that show called Stinky Pete (I think?) that was okay, I'd watch another season of that. Oh Sneaky Pete even!!! Just realised that Stinky Pete is from Toy Story 2 haha! Edited October 8, 20177 yr by dandyman* 🐝🐝
October 8, 20177 yr I find amazon much better for films than for tv. I did apply for Grand Tour tickets the other week though. Am really looking forward to that returning
October 8, 20177 yr Amazon's problem is that it does not have THAT show yet (even Hulu has a massive hit). I have not see The Man in the High Castle - by all accounts it's good, but it's had nothing like the mainstream exposure like Stranger Things, House of Cards, or Orange is the New Black has had. Netflix's business model is good as now before everyone else starts their own streaming model (looking at you Disney) they have established themselves in the marketplace with some great original content so that it does not really matter too much if they lose some of their licensed content.
October 8, 20177 yr any of you seen Lucifer? quite liking that at the moment (seen most of S1 so far plus the first episode of S3 which just came out)

Yeah I’d agree. They need a big hit but their originals seem to miss the mark more often than not. I’m just waiting for content deals to become global rather than the US just getting everything. Streaming can kill off piracy but so far the traditional networks in the US just haven’t made the leap they need to be in the right mindset
November 25, 20177 yr I don't uses Prime much either but Man In The High Castle, American Gods and Outlander are all worth a look currently. Before that the 4 season pirate/Treasure Island prequel Black Sails was particularly strong after a stumbling first half of season 1. Captain Flint became one of the most nuanced and deep characters I've ever seen in a TV show after initially appearing quite stereotypical and John Silver's iffy acting in the beginning is actually part of the character and soon drops away as he reveals his true self.
September 21, 20186 yr Ive become more wary of Prime in the past year. I still order a lot from Amazon but lately Ive found some things for the same price or slightly less expensive in stores. I always compare before I buy something that isnt a staple that Ive already checked.
