October 27, 20177 yr HOLY f*** I JUST FINISHED IT AND IT IS SO MUCH BETTER THAN S1. i'll spoiler my overall thoughts that final episode really was f***ing everything!! so many moments over the whole season but holy shit that finale absolutely blew me away. i actually started crying when eleven closed the gate because the visual effects were so bloody stunning... a MOMENT. that whole final scene with the prom too was also too much for me to handle. the characters have somehow managed to grow on me even more, I think steve had the best character development... he had me absolutely screaming- especially his scenes with dustin (who seriously is the star of the show). i think i'm going to re watch all of that again soon but i think the plot was so good, it felt slightly less ambitious than s1 which in my opinion made it a whole lot more effective. i'd love to find out even more about the other children from the lab, i found the sister scenes so heartwarming and i'm sure that won't be the end of her- interesting they all have different powers! WHAT A SHOW. i'm genuinely so shook right now
October 27, 20177 yr Ok so I’ve watched the first three episodes! Feels a lot more of a slower start than last season, it feels more exploring nostalgia & catching up from where we left off but omg that ending of Ep 3, they better not have already killed Will off! He’s only just being given a chance and he’s still to meet Eleven! Not really feeling Max so far but maybe that’s because I’m too used to the original cast bond. and omg Eleven’s new hair makes her look like Joyce.
October 27, 20177 yr 1st episode down - surprised there was not a major bombshell to keep everyone guessing, but it was also a bit of a set-up! Managed to avoid spoilers so far.. but have seen articles that something major happens.. might have to avoid this thread until I am finished (probs in a week).
October 28, 20177 yr I'm sooooo tired but I want to continue it. :( I'm on episode 6 next and things are really ramping up! So excited! Lucas sister is a f***ing icon! LOVE HER. So adorable. Max is a really fascinating character too as is her brother (? - I assume step brother?) so I have no qualms with the new characters.
October 28, 20177 yr Have seen the first two (so probably will avoid this thread) very good so far, though a bit slower to start than the last series and still somewhat in the establishing stages, but it's not too bad as there's still a lot of questions and the cast and the 80s references are still as prominent as ever which is wonderful to see. Justice for Barb actually coming? *.* :kink:
October 29, 20177 yr Finished this earlier today. It got better and better, then episode 7 and better as it went on. Episode 8 especially! What a rollercoaster of emotions!! The main cast can never get enough credit! Absolutely stellar. Ended up loving all the new additions! Particularly Bob :wub: (and Lucas' sister!!) The vision for this series as well as the cinematography, acting, directing.. just everything was perfect. Really looking forward to seeing where they go with Season 3. But I'm kinda hoping that'll be the end (either that or do a movie after that season and end it there?) It has the scope and lends itself incredibly well to being a movie, I feel. So good! I am kinda regretting bingeing it tbh. Think I may give it another watch and process it all properly in a couple of days.

Even Season 3 will be weird, the kids are already growing up loads.
