Posted October 28, 20177 yr England have won the Under 17 World Cup, beating Spain 5-2 in the final. They came back from 2-0 down to win with a very impressive second-half performance. They join the U-20 side who won their tournament earlier this year. Only Brazil have previously won both tournaments in the same year.
October 28, 20177 yr We'll not capitalise on this and we'll still go out at or before the quarter-final stage of the 2022/2026 World Cups.
October 28, 20177 yr It was 2-2 when I put it on so I saw the last three goals. Very impressive. I hope some of these players can break into their club teams in the next few years but it's very difficult with Premier League managers continually signing players from abroad.
October 28, 20177 yr This is a very encouraging sign for England. When these players get to their mid 20's around the time of the 2026 World Cup they could go very far in a major tournament or even win it potentially.
October 28, 20177 yr The majority of these players will not make it, but it is encouraging and shows the investment at St. George's is paying off. For the record, in this team I guarantee you both Brewster and Foden will make it. For these players (and the older age groups) you just need a manager to put faith in you.
