December 4, 20177 yr A shame it couldn't crack a 7.0 average but top 30 for "Single Ladies" on Buzzjack is more than I expected.
December 4, 20177 yr I can't see one good thing about 'Single Ladies', it's literally the most horrendous noise ever created.
December 5, 20177 yr 29. Flawless Remix (Featuring Nicki Minaj) Average - 7.09 Lovers - 11 (Euphorique) 10 (josh, all is vanity, Theo, Sean, cremey) Haters - 0 (Nicki F1) 2 (LiamK97) Next up in our results at 29 is the remix for Beyonce's song Flawless. The song was taken from her 5th studio album with original collaboration with "Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie". The Single mix was chosen to lead the Platinum edition of the album. The song is a lot more different to the album version as it contains new verses, new music in places and more explicit lyrics. This remix also marks the first time Beyonce and Nicki worked together. Chart wise it peaked #65 and 41 on the US Hot 100. I way prefer this remix to the original of the album which I didn't really get too well. It works better with Minaj imo. It is a highlight of the platinum version of the album but not high enough in terms of my personal Beyonce favorite singles. 56qgO0C82vY 28. Ring the Alarm Average - 7.13 (1 11) Lovers - (10 - Davidson, Joe, Lew) Haters - 3 (All In Vanity) 4 (Blacksquare, cameron) After Flawless we go back to her second album with Ring The Alarm. The tracked served as the second US single while Irreplaceable was pushed internationally. The song's inspiration came from her involvement with musical Dreamgirls. In the US chart, it managed to reach 11 on the HOT 100 and #1 on the Dance Club Songs Chart. Not one of my proper favorites but I do get my life a bit whenever it comes on shuffle or on an album listen through. The video however, has to be one of her best. I love that it remakes the iconic scene from Basic Instinct. eY_mrU8MPfI
December 7, 20177 yr Ugh "Flawless" is just what is says on the tin. It was already an iconic track when 'Beyoncé' was released but the Reminaj just solidified its status. The first proper loss for me :(
December 9, 20177 yr Author 27. Green Light Average - 7.19 Lovers (11 - Nick F1 // 9 - all is vanity & Josh!) Haters (4 - Theo & Sean) bOXvqkC3W4M This has done much better than I expected actually as I always thought it was one of her least remembered singles and was expecting it to land in the bottom 10 at least :o A lot of people mentioned that they prefer the Freemasons remix of the track but I really like both versions of the song and have always found the "So if you want to (uh, uh, huh, uh, uh), You got the green light (uh, uh, huh, uh, uh)" hook so ridiculously catchy. An underrated gem in my opinion  26. Broken Hearted Girl Average - 7.39 Lovers (10 - Liam & UltraReputation) Haters (3 - Blacksquare // 5 - Lewww) JXmUYdOVJtc Perhaps another of Bey's least remembered singles of recent years but I do rank this as one of her most gorgeous ballads before the likes of Halo and If I Were a Boy for me. She sounds brilliant on it too and I always used to think the black and white video was really lovely. I'm glad it's done decently here even if there are some ballads I prefer less still to be revealed.
December 10, 20177 yr 'Green Light' and 'Ring the Alarm' are two songs where I much prefer a remix over the original, namely the Freemasons mix. I do quite like the original of the latter though.
December 11, 20177 yr I really don't like "Green Light" or get the hype for the Freemasons mix of it :/ "Broken-Hearted Girl" is gorgeous, I wish it had been a bigger hit but top 30 for a 5th single would be huge for Bey nowadays
December 11, 20177 yr 24. Pretty Hurts Average - 7.54 Lovers (10 - lewww & Sean) Haters *4 (vibe) // 5 (nickf1)) LXXQLa-5n5w Kicking off the top 25 is potentially one of my favourite Bey tracks, Pretty Hurts. I'd easily have this in my top ten Beyoncé tracks and I'm shocked to see it so low! :o :( as I recently said in the commentary for track of the week, it is a fantastic all round package. An empowering anthem with fantastic lyrics and of course, killer vocals. I am horrified at such low scores from Vibe and Nick as well :o #JusticeForPrettyHurts Edited December 13, 20177 yr by MerryFlynnmas
December 11, 20177 yr 23. Partition Average - 7.59 Lovers (10 - 10 - davidson, lew and cremey) Haters (5 - euphorique and chapman)) pZ12_E5R3qc Another self titled bow out at 24 with Partition. I like the production on Partition, both with the vocals and catchy beat. The track has achieved 3 10's which secures it's placing in the top half. It definitely feels like a classic Beyoncé track!
December 11, 20177 yr Why the hell is 'Partition' so low??? Should definitely be top 10 or at least top 15. 'Pretty Hurts' is my least fav track on the whole self-titled album so I am glad it's not too high. A little too sickly sweet for me.
December 13, 20177 yr Author Oops, I f***ed up in the ordering of things so just a little re-jig here in the results. (Hold Up was in the wrong position :drama: The rest is the same!) Here are the actual results: 26. Broken Hearted Girl (7.39) 25. Hold Up (7.50) 24. Pretty Hurts (7.54) 23. Partition (7.59) 22. TBA (7.65) 25. Hold Up Average - 7.50 Lovers (10 - SamJudd, PAJ88, Blacksquare, Theo, Leww, Mack) Haters (2 - Mr Aly // 3 - vibe) PeonBmeFR8o The highest peaking single from Lemonade lands in 25th place making it actually the lowest Lemonade single in the countdown :o It does seem a bit of an injustice that this is the highest peaking (especially considering the cultural impact that Formation made) and it seems Buzzjack agree that some of the other singles on the album were much stronger. I do like this and think the video is one of her best but it is a little unexciting compared to the fierce anthems that are Sorry and Formation for example.
December 13, 20177 yr Author 22. If I Were a Boy Average - 7.65 Lovers (11 - UltraReputation // 10 - SamJudd, George.keh, PAJ88, Liam, Jonjo, Jay & Mack) Haters (0 - Nick F1 // 1 - Jack) AWpsOqh8q0M I believe this remains Bey's highest selling single of all-time here in the UK but it seems Buzzjack aren't too keen on it as it can't even make the top 20. I guess this is the sort of song that everyone likes but few people would call one of her absolute best? The lyrics are some of her best ever though in my opinion and they definitely do serve a purpose to get you thinking. This is one of the Bey singles that I probably return to least but I think that's because I've heard it so many times in the past and I'm perhaps a little sick of it now. It's still a lovely song and worthy of being one of her best sellers (I do prefer Single Ladies and Halo though which are just behind so wouldn't mind them overtaking in the future :heehee:).
December 13, 20177 yr What, "Hold Up" is amazing! I love the use of samples/interpolations throughout and the video is so fierce! I can't really complain about it being last of the 'Lemonade' singles as I think I gave all of them at least 9. ("Halo" is actually Bey's highest seller (including streams).) I remember "If I Were a Boy" being a very random official #1 - I'm not sure if it was ever #1 on iTunes! It's a lovely song though and one of her most thought provoking pre-'Beyoncé' songs. I don't like the video though, probably my least favourite from that era.
