What happened to your old Twitter fan page?

 

Suspended back in 2018 for 'impersonation' even though all the girls interacted with our page and I never claimed to be the 'spice girls'.

 

But I'm back for the 25th anniversary celebrations :cheer:

Emma: "Not at the moment because, yeah, we're seeing..."

Emma: "I know, I would - I think we would love to, but it's just making sure... seeing where the world is really."

(Some chat about the Olympics performance, because a picture of it was shown on screen)

Emma: "I was with Victoria just at the weekend and I think we would love to, as the Spice Girls... it's the 25th anniversary coming up, and we've got a few little bits for our fans."

I know I shouldn't read into things, but I just thought it was interesting that part of Emma's answer regarding the Spice Girls mentioned meeting up with Victoria!

Ah I wouldnt read too much into Victoria being mentioned in that same breath. It's Emma, she often messes things around like that.

 

It would be nice have them all 5 on tour, but thats not going to happen.

If it’s new music, I hope they listen more to what Mel C has to say. She knows what producers are cool at the moment, she’s friends with many cool artists (see Billie Eilish). I personally don’t want any Headlines, Voodoo or Song For Her.

 

Also, more lines to Mel B this time and old-school Mel C adlibs (I know it’s not going to happen, just let me dream).

New music seems like the absolute logical next step for them especially in regards to touring.

 

They need more material to inject some life into the setlist.

Let Mel C and Emma Bunton, the main music artists currently still working as music artists, take the reigns and tehy will be fine!!

Completely agree! I hope they see things that way too. Three tours in a row drawing songs from the exact same catalogue would be a bit much.

Definitely! Tbh if the time ever comes for them to make new music, I really hope all of them (well, 4 or 5 depending on Victoria) can be hands on with the writing/melodies etc. I believe that's the only way they could hope to create some magic in the studio. I think the GH era/Song for Her demonstrates that if they don't all fully contribute to a project, there's something a bit lacking - and honestly I think that something is input from Melanie C.

They would at the very least need to perform different material if they were to tour again. Like some more rare album tracks, demos etc. At least 2 new songs would be a bonus too

Vixtoria wrote her entire solo album, plus wrote Out of Your Mind with Dane Bowers ib 20 minutes on the train!

This is what I'm saying! With just 2 albums of material, they cannot keep touring all the time. They need more songs. What they needed to do was rwcord 3 or 4 pop albums in order to cement their legacy.

I’d love something like a 90s version of Future Nostalgia. But not camp, please.

Melanie C works well with melody (bar Cool as You, Cosmic Shower, Viva Life and Soul Boy)fashion.

I'm not totally sure about Viva Life, but Melanie didn't have a hand in writing Cool as You, Cosmic Shower & Soul Boy. B-)

Right. But I was talking about melody, I somewhat remember a producer saying that she was the one coming up with melody (I mean how to sing on top of an instrumental). Musical Spice always delivers!

Mood, music genres (jazz would have a different take compared to pop), or simply trying and trying. If you’re Melanie C, that comes natural: Musical Spice.

But no instrumental has an inherent melody, right, like there'd be no reason to sing in this key or that note at that particular point of the instrumental?
