They need to just partner with Primark or H&M and release this stuff because we wouldn't complain if we could pick that jumper up for £15 from Primark. It is the £55 price tag and shipping. If you put that sort of price plus shipping it needs to feel special.

Hahaha, that was my reaction when it appeared on my timeline. It's just.. strange? Especially since we didn't know about this, but oh well, get those coins girls! They have always been very business savy (and good for them) so surely they got a nice cheque for this. I only can't with Geri's white dress. Again.

I mean, yes it's always fun to see them together... their energy comes through even in something short and random like this advert.

 

If I'm not mistaken, is this the first time we've seen them together as 4 piece since the final Wembley show? If that's true, it's kind of wild that 2 and a half years later, we finally see them together again but it's for a cheap advert??

 

It just stings quite a bit that they'll do something like this, yet they couldn't/wouldn't do anything together for the Spice 25 releases. What's with that?

 

Before today, I bought into the "Spice Girls don't want to be seen together for most things, so that the next tour announcement when we see them together again is more special" theory, but now that we've seen them together in this advert, I now see zero excuses as to why they couldn't work harder with Spice 25.

I was cynical too and then I checked and coinmaster has nearly 7 million insta followers and 19 million FB likes so it is big exposure as well as a big cheque.

 

It would have been perfect had it been an extra thing alongside the tour like the Walkers advert in 2019. I wonder if they signed to do it on the assumption Nov 2021 they would have announced a tour and so Dec 2021 it was just a nice little bonus.

I suppose it could stand to be seen by so many people, even beyond those millions who follow those accounts Sammy mentioned. But whether it translates into people streaming/buying their music more, not sure...

 

I would agree actually that at least Geri's demeanor is quite fun in this advert, even if the white gown look gives off a different vibe altogether. It didn't escape my attention that the other 3 are playing up to their personas more, visually, in this new advert (and it was exactly the same in the Walkers advert).

Yeah Geri finally seems more playful and it is actually super cute really if we take it in the context of itself. The thing is it just coming before everything else is a bit jarring. They've always done brand tie ins and some of them have been on the tacky side but that is part of the Spice Girls. I maintain if this was released after a tour announcement we would all think lol get that cash and enjoy it more.

There’s lies the problem… most of the girls were not in it for the music they were in it to be famous any way they could be… which is why all except one has never truly committed to music instead focusing on what will keep them famous or making money. 🤷‍♂️

They really could have done something together to promote spice 25, them together will always grab more attention than anything solo so when recording this ad they could have done something for spice.
