They really could have done something together to promote spice 25, them together will always grab more attention than anything solo so when recording this ad they could have done something for spice.

I mean, obviously this is Geri's attempt to do "understated chic", but of course since she's Geri, she does it in the most obnoxious and in-your-face way possible. It's absolutely on brand for her and I love it. The girl can't help it.

The second advert (currently on their Instagram story) is more cringe than the first one :drama:

All I'm taking from this is they look fab, Geri has lightened up seemingly and for the right cheque the 4 of them will do anything now. Which while some adverts for coinmaster is a bit meh they defo are open to offers as a 4.

It all just seems so... random? I mean, good for them getting a nice cheque. And from a business perspective I get they would want to more involved with this than Spice 25, because let's face it, one day of filming will get them more money than the whole re-release. The thing is, it just seems to come out of the blue. Nothing is really going on in Spice world at the moment and then all of a sudden we get this? I'm also a bit confused by the company for hiring them. Is the Spice fanbase really their target audience?

The only thing that surprises me about the coinmaster adverts is Geri agreed to them but I think that shows where Geri is at in terms of being back 100% to being in when it comes to the Spice Girls.

 

Mel C and Mel B I'm sure the pandemic has hit hard earning potential wise. They both rely on paid gigs to earn money and they just haven't been there for nearly 2 years now. Mel C has lost out on 2 years now of festivals and DJ bookings, it is how she earns money. Money coming in might have stopped but the outgoings wont have, which is probably why Mel C has taken cheques from The voice kids and DWTS more than actually wanting to do those things.

 

Emma would do anything Spice Girls related, she just loves it money or not.

 

I don't blame them for taking the cheque, who knows what will happen in the future. The 2023 tour will be big money but anything can happen before then, right now everything is still a gamble, just look at the mess the Steps tour decended into.

 

Whilst we would ideally love them to be doing fan pleasing stuff, that isn't what will pay the bills. So I'd take the coinmaster adverts for what they are, a chance to see them together again but also a good cheque when times are tough for all arrists.

The first CM advert was cute. The chemistry between the bouncer and the girls was fun to watch. The guy from the second one was just super cringy. Like just straight up awkward and inorganic…. Just watching Geri in the second one is like “holy crap geri why are you even here”

Once again, it’s really fun to see them together. My main frustration with this content is that they gave us nothing like this during the tour, or for Spice 25.

(Lol at Melanie C pretty much taking the piss out of Coinmaster at the end)

The sort of content we all love. They are still so funny and feel so big and powerful when together.

I hope they commit to an album next. It the logical next step.

A new album would be great to get from the girls.

New albums have worked for some bands who have reformed and I believe they could have success with a new album and tour.

A new album with their old spice and spice world team would be epic
