I think it is funny how Mel B and Geri are constantly going viral over the last few weeks on Twitter/X about their potential lesbianism. It's become a thing and I can only imagine it pisses Gerita off lol

Mostly, it is all fun and positive. I would even say it is helping to bring the group to younger people as these comments and tweets have mostly been from Gen X and younger people lol

Checking on the Wannabe HMV page, I ventured into the Spice Girls section and wow quite a few items have gone back on sale same as the official website. It seems like they reprinted quite a lot of items that were not in print/sold out before.

So I went on a bit of a deepdive since I am procastinating at work today lol

Spice standard black vinyl

Spice standard CD (this had been out of print for a few years)

Spiceworld standard black vinyl (was out of print ahead of the Spiceworld25 releases)

Spiceworld25 cassettes

Wannabe25 - it was sold out on HMV for a while, although some copies were still available on their online store.

Greatest Hits CD - it is finally availabe on their webstore for the first time! Previously only the vinyl was available there and the CD could only be found on HMV and independent shops.

So it seems like Universal has invested a bit of cash in re-printing a few items as well as the new website design. I hope they eventually do re-print the Spiceworld standard CD, it is a crime it hasnt been on print for so long.

I am not sure what this means for the Spice30 anniversary. So many versions wildly available of both that album and the Greatest Hits, it seems to indicate that we should not be expecting any re-release of either this autumn ☹️

SOLO-WISE, I think it is curious:

The previously sold out Emma's My Happy Place's CD is back in stock, alongside the Delux and Vinyl. We know BMG re-printed it and also re-released the vinyl before, so this is nice to see. Them trickle down sales hopefully stack up! Last we heard the album was on 13,5k copies in the UK and 28k worldwide, back in 2020! So hopefully it has gone up a bit more since. If we look on Discogs, it seems like the standard CD version has been re-printed 4x in Europe and twice in Brazil.

Mel C's Melanie C album is also available on both CD and Delux CD. No Vinyl though. The Delux CD has also been reprinted in the UK/Europe, so that's probably why it is still available here.

Curiously, Mel B's own LA State of Mind CD is also on sale on HMV. This is quite wild for the 1963 copies selling album... maybe there's plenty of stock left that HMV wants rid of?...
