It's all a guess. But yes, all countries and cities with venues large enough (such as stadiums) to fit a stage.

49 to 56 concerts across 6 continents.

- Leg 1 (either: February/March/April 2023)

1A: Australia (4 to 6) - Perth, Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane.

1B: Asia (2 to 4) - Beijing, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Manila.

1C: Africa (1 to 2) - Cape Town, Durban.

1D: South America (2 to 4) - Buenos Aires, Sao Paulo, Rio de Janerio.

- Leg 2 (either: May/June/July 2023)

North America (18).

- Leg 3 (either: July/August/September 2023)

Europe, including the UK and Ireland (22).

2023 tour announcement prediction:

Anytime between March and August 2022.

Ah ok, so this is just you guessing, not something that is even rumoured to happen?

I mean that does sound like an ideal situation but I highly doubt it. <_<

If they ever tour again, girls please go to South America, Asia and Australia!

I think they will do those. It would be too silly (and expensive) to do Australia but not Asia. And South America is on their cards at least seemingly.

I think South Africa is, unfortunatelly, too hard to get to for not a lot of cash so I doubt they would go, to be honest....

Sadly they could have sold out any of these territories between 1997-2000.

I always think how amazing it would have been to say they'd sold out shows in China, Argentina, Hong Kong and South Africa back in 07/08 so fingers crossed for2023.

Gerita is so generous to take time out of the schedule to do these to help out 3 broke girls

The 1st and 3rd adverts are fun and decent. The 2nd one the less said about it the better.

Yes this is definitely an improvement on the 2nd one... it's still soooo random, but oh well
The guy is cute but this is so cheap lmao
I do love their acting in this latest ad and of course they’re chemistry and energy always comes through when they’re together

I hope you all have a Happy New Year 2022  I wonder what 2022 will bring for the Spice Girls and the fans? More Coinmaster adverts? (lol)

Fingers crossed there’s some sort of tour announcement in late 2022

Personally, I can't see the tough zero covid policy in Asia allowing a tour in the forseeable future/next three years.

I'd hazard a guess that OZ/NZ will be followed with Brazil, Chile and Argie then a LAS residency period for a month or two, before moving back for a final run of UK stadiums or 02 residency, but it wouldn't surprise me if there were massive gaps between the legs.

One month before, not one month after!

With hindsight, I think it’s interesting that the film makers decided to do a half measure & retain the scene of the girls singing his song, rather than cut the entire thing. Nowadays I feel like that’s what would happen, you wouldn’t want to keep in any association at all. Yet at the time I don’t think the Spice Girls got any negative press for performing his song?

Sorry to jump back to an earlier conversation...but I do think this brings up some interesting thoughts.

I don't remember the girls getting any negative press for keeping the song itself. Everything I remember hearing was just about cutting Gary Glitter himself from the film. That news, I think I only heard about from me following the girls so closely at the time. Gary Glitter's not really a known entity in the US...though his song Rock and Roll Part 2 remains a permanent fixture at sporting events...and was just featured in the movie Joker too.

I think you're right that the scene would be cut altogether if this happened in 2022. The scene's not integral to the plot in any way. I do think there's a music performance that's needed in that moment for the flow of the film. My guess is if this happened now, a new performance scene might be rushed together...and the film possibly pushed back a bit.

But. Y'know. 1997 wasn't 2022. I think the steps they took were in line with the expectations of the time. I guess there's something of a question of how much Glitter stood to benefit from the song staying in. My guess is he'd already gotten paid for use of the song with the film so close to release...and I'm not sure how many kids were going to seek out the original. I assumed for years this was a song the girls had written just for the movie. It was ages before I found out it was a cover.

As to the conversation about an extensive tour...I mean...I would love that. But I have my doubts.

To me, only Mel C seems to have the sort of endurance for performing on stage for months...even weeks on end. Even in 1998, touring seemed to really drain several of the members.

My guess is we can expect another little flurry of shows at some point. With it being so long since the 2019 tour, my guess is they're going to need to build a new show from the ground up.

^ no way will it be a new show.

It will be edited slightly i reckon.

It will be a whole new show. Obviously same sort of set list but all new costumes, dances, theme.

You can vote for Goin Down, Northern Star and Tell Me in buzzjacks ultimate number 4 song thread in the main forum!

Yeah I feel like the show will be new. The set list will be similar just with new designs. I think the globe was a good idea but maybe too big to carry around the world, so it will probably be more standardised.

Both the Mels and Emma would be up for a proper world tour, I think. The jury is definitely out on Geri though, but I think with the right incentives (money, ego being fed) she could do it.

Because of family priorities (which they always used as an excuse), I would imagine some gaps in legs of the tour. Yeah, they did get tired quickly in 1998 but it was a different time, where they hadnt really stopped at all working for the past 3 years, there was only a 2-week gap between the European and the USA legs and Geri left in the middle of the tour which meant they had to work extra to make up for her. No wonder they were exhausted.

If they perform around school times (so Summer and then Winter), they will be fine and have plenty of resting time.

I agree there will likely be long gaps between each leg of the tour and tbh why the heck not I wouldn’t want to be away from my children for months of end or uproot them to the other side of the world when I didn’t have to. For years I always found it rather frustrating the girls had no ambition left for the group but now I am older I get it.
