I'm sure all it would take is an email. Pretty sure all of those live tracks were mastered and ready to be pressed to CD in '98.

I think it would depend on the agreements made when Virgin was bought by EMI and who has the rights to that. If it was transfered to EMI along the rest, then there shouldnt be a problem...

 

It is wild that such a touring force doesnt have currently much of their live material on sale in the form of a live album. In fact currently all they have to show for is those upscaled youtube videos...

Clearly a lot of BS, making it out as if Mel C is not interested there as she wasn’t mentioned as one of the driving forces, yet she has been incredibly vocal about wanting them to continue doing stuff together recently !

Ive noticed that around the Brits, they always post about attending/performing/winning in 97, 98 and 2010 but NEVER about 2000 where they won technically the most prestigious award of their career. Even videos on their insta/twitter that showcase their performances across the years completely skip 2000...

 

I know Geri wasnt performing with them but honestly they shouldnt just skip it completely... it's pretty silly to do that

I believe that the awful vocals is the main reason why they skip 2000. Personally I love everything about that performance. But… Victoria threatened with death, Mel C playing drunk, technical issues, feud between Geri and the girls… who knows what else..

Brits 2000 SUYL is one of their best performances.

It's not like the vocals in Stop were incredible and that always gets a mention. They should - at least - show a bit of Spice Up Your Life and Goodbye!

 

I know it was a bit of a weird time for them for the reasons you mentioned but it's their biggest accolade in their career. They should be proud of that!

Agreed; it's not like it was their fault that Gerita wasn't with them at that time.

During her Heart Radio show on Sunday evening, Emma played a Spice Girls classic, before telling listeners: “I wanted to play that for you tonight as we’re all meeting up this week. Yes, so excited!”

 

“I always get excited to see them all, however anytime I say this to anyone they always think we’re there to talk about a new Spice Girls tour, or some new music or we’re all just going to have a big pillow fight. I’m so sorry to disappoint you, but none of that happens,” she noted.

 

“We just sit around like any other group of girls, drinking tea, or maybe some bubbles, chatting about our kids and have a little bit of gossip. But we just absolutely love getting together, it’s so nice!”

To be honest, whenever there is a meeting to sort out plans, we end up knowing about it anyway. There was the 2018 meeting at Geri's house after which a picture published on their socials materialised (alongside actual activity for the group and they became somewhat active again), the meeting last year at a random hotel, etc.

 

They will for sure chat about projects this week, specially the future touring plans and the upcoming monarchy schenanigans.
