Seeing old songs achieve a new lease of life in the charts after being included in TV shows/films - such as Running Up That Hill, Murder on the Dancefloor and Unwritten... it makes me wish it could happen to the Spice Girls! With a group song or even a solo song... I would find it exciting!

Which song would you like it to happen to? I'd be really pleased if it was with 'Stop' in particular.

I think Never Be the Same Again could get a new lease of life if it was given an appropriate spot in a film / high-profile TV show.

Viva Forever, Stop and Spice Up Your Life, personally, could fit well in a movie or TV show and remind people of the classics they are!

Well, Spice Up Your Wife was featured in Doctor Who & Barbie just recently, but it didn't get a significant boost (to the extent of charting, that is), unlike the songs Jay mentioned.

Out of Your Mind or Never Be The Same Again, or I Turn To You or Hollier, Oh Yeah (Feels So Good), orrr What Took You So Long. Or even For Once In My Life!!

Viva Forever or Stop. It isn't just about the song being in a film or tv show it is the moment it is in it, the Murder on the dancefloor scene had a lot of attention because of its content.

I guess they would have to be featured prominently and in a pretty central scene in a big movie. Murder on the Dance Floor is the main final scene of the Saltburn movie and the song plays in full! Spice Up Your Life is in Barbie for like 10seconds and it doesnt even feature in the soundtrack of the movie... Doctor Who is a bit nieche too, maybe?

Viva Forever would be my favourite choice, I don't think it's appreciated as much as it should be.
They better get Spice World on a streaming platform before the new documentary is released. Would not look good on their part if no one can stream/buy their movie after all the publicity.

the National Album Day campaign has announced they will focus on Great British Groups this year, and the Press Release directly mentions the Spice Girls too. BBC Radio 2 will also do features to the artists involved and there will be focus on the music itself rather than just its impact, which is great news.

In a joint statement, Kim Bayley, chief executive of ERA, and Dr Jo Twist OBE, BPI chief executive, said: “From the iconic influence of The Beatles and Spice Girls to the dynamic new sounds of BRITs winners Wet Leg, countless artists spanning diverse backgrounds and rich genres make for an exciting celebration of great British groups. With so many legendary albums produced by British groups, National Album Day has a brilliant grounding for fans to explore records both new and old, revisiting or enjoying them for the first time.”

Can we see a new re-release of one of their albums, again? Since it is about influential albums, I can see Spice getting a feature, but I really wish it would be a new Spiceworld or even a Forever focus this time... It wont be a Greatest Hits as technically that is not a studio album, but a collection of a bunch of songs to highlight their hits. So I guess it will be Spice again...

Have to admit I wouldn’t be too excited about another Spice or Spiceworld variant… I think there’s only so far that they can milk them, surely! :drama:

Maybeeee Spiceworld with original artwork on a white vinyl would be cute.

It will be another Spice vinyl and you will buy it Jay. If they do have to do Spice a clear vinyl would be my option.

Or a double vinyl with the Spice 25 tracks on it.

NEVER :arrr: 9 copies is enough

Well maybe this would take it to 10

Lies, if there was a clear Spice vinyl announced tomorrow you would be preordering in a shot.

The hold these hags have on us middle aged gays, sigh.

Seems like Mel B and Gerita have fallen out again?... They have unfollowed each other on instagram.

Honestly, these f***ing girls. If the '30 years of Spice' celebrations are cancelled I dont know if the already diminishing fandom will stick around this time...

So basically it's just Tory Spice saying no again, isn't it? Since Mel B had been saying on these tv shows bout five of them.
It would be very VERY easy to fall out with Geri Halliwell these days :rfl: Imagine if I was in the band :drama: There'd be 0 hope!! Mrl B pribably mocked her for thinkin she's Shakespeare, OR they've fallen out over Mel B tellin her to drop the pretence and stop wearing white!!! Ego Spice was fumin over Mel B's jokes about that

Geri is just pretty unlikable as a person these days, let alone band mate.

Emma and Mel C are diplomatic but Mel B is firey and I just know is over Geri ruining great chances to do amazing things as a band but also this fake act she puts on too.

They will regret it in 10 years or more time though. God forbid when one dies but it will absolutely hit home to the others just how ridiculous they were to not do those reunions. You only have to look at Girls Aloud now compared to 10 years ago where they were completely divided and the way Sarah's illness and death put things in perspective for them.

100%!! I haven't known an act miss more opportunities in history!! Except maybe Katy P and Leona Lewis. They had s full pop album ready to in early '99, then an rnb/ dance one in 2000, followed by a farewell tour and We Are Family... We're talkin a potential 4-8 extra no 1s, sales, more legacy and more classics for their backcatalogue, for things like touring, streaming, MUSICALS...

Then they reformed to five us one new song and a GH and that was it... cancelled tours... etc

Anyway, according to this site, the evidence is "compelling" that Mel B splitting up with Geri is what broke the band up!!!
