That fan edit doesn't seem to be online anymore, but I've thrown an edit together myself!

https://vimeo.com/421486151

(Password: olympicspice ) - the audio starts 7 seconds in

The transitions are most clear at: 1:53 (look at the taxi behind Victoria), 3:03, 3:33 and at 4:11 (lights going off).

The reason the taxis and the audio is out of sync is because the intro to Wannabe was lengthened for the performance (it goes on for twice as long as the studio version that was available on the "A Symphony of British Music: Music For the Closing Ceremony of the London 2012 Olympic Games" album). It seems that the taxi's visuals were made with the shorter intro in mind.

Omg it's so obvious after watching that video, what a shame it would have been even more epic with those visuals in time... the fireworks starting during spice up your life is particularly awesome. You can see at the end the lights go out when they were supposed to end on each individual girls style!

Please vote for the Spice Girls debut album ‘Spice’ as the ultimate 90s album for ‘Sounds of the 90s’.

Vote closes June 7. Winner announced June 12

After Stop hit 40m views last week, the Spice Girls have reached another milestone - 2 Become 1 has now reached 50M views :cheer:
Does anyone have the return of the spice girls audio? Not the studio versions. The one with the live vocals? I think it was from their mic feed.

Thanks so much to Joseph for designing our new forum banner! It's my favourite image of them, such a classic. Thanks also to McAndrew who designed our previous banner with tour images. Lots of talent on BuzzJack *.*

I've never seen this before...

Wow, I thought the Playstation game was bad but this looks worse

A funny video of the Playstation game if you're not familiar with that one either:

I remember those Tiger Electronics games - they were usually really cheap and really only bought because you couldn't afford to buy a proper Gameboy AND games on top of that - they usually cost less than a new game to your Gameboy. IIRC you couldn't really have them out in the sun either as the screen would be destroyed by direct sunlight exposure.

I really think we were more easily amused in the 80s/90s.

We clearly were more easily amused in the 90's Tommie

I won't hear a bad word said against that terrible Playstation game though it's iconic (ly shit)

Y'know. I'll say...something...sorta, kinda positive about the Playstation game.

I was a kid who was pretty interested in the details behind TV production. So. The section where you're selecting shots and controlling zooms during the performance...actually is a pretty basic form of directing a multi camera shoot. I ended up playing this game quite a bit to try and perfect the punching of shots and use of zooms to match the energy of the song. And as an adult...I did end up going into TV production. I'm...not exactly going to claim I owe my livelihood to a Spice Girls Playstation game. But. I will say it was the first time I was exposed to something resembling the process. So. That's worth something?

But man, oh man did it annoy me that no matter how you arranged the songs...they always sounded a mess.

Honestly, there was untapped potential in this game. If you had a little variety of beats to create basic remixes...and then had better options to control the choreography and TV production features...this honestly could have been a pretty educational little game for kids with interest in creating music, doing choreography, or doing live television.
