Besides, if Kylie hadn't toured for 12 years, she could probably sell stadiums on her comeback...!!

You can say the same but the other way around in regards to them: If the Spice Girls were still releasing new music today after 25 years, they would be as iconic as ever then.

She is in that she is still releasing music and out charting any of the solo girls easily...

I really don't get this argument. The Spice Girls sell really well every year still across the world, for a 25 year old band. Their limited catalogue still sells today! You cant compare their solo success to that...

Of course the Spice Girls deserve the main slot. So did Kylie. She was offered it once and had to cancel due to her cancer. It's a shame that she then did the legend slot as I think she would have also been great as a headliner!

If you're big enough you would sell stadiums at some point of your career. The spice girls sold out stadiums in 1998 only 1.5 years after their debut. Kylie is not massive like the spice girls but she sure is more well respected artist than the girls.

But main slots are only offered to acts who are still current aren't they? Spice Girls as fabulous as they are, very much rely on nostalgia to tour, there's nothing current about them... Tbh being offered any slot is a huge honour as Spice Girls are not exactly known for being a festivals act, a credible music act or even a credible live act let's be honest!

I wonder what the situation is live wise at Glastonbury, do they expect acts to be 100% live or is there some playback etc, because there was obviously some playback for Geri on the last tour...

The legends slot would be perfect and appropriate for the Spice Girls. There's no negative connotations to doing the legends slot whatsoever! It would likely be a huge moment / get the biggest crowd / grab the most headlines. Kylie got the main attention last year with her slot, as did Dolly Parton a few years earlier.
There's stories leaking on the sun now saying the group are in talks for a final 25th anniversary world tour for 2021 and they've even quoted 'a close source to Mel C'

Why have all these stories been coming out today?

I don't wanna get my hopes up

Even mentioned in the article about 'a film of their year' i.e. The Behind the scenes of the tour, not the animation.

Article

I hope this is not true because first of all, there is no Asia there, us asians bought the girls records at least 3-5 millions combined and not even one stop for us is unfair, this is like a slap in the face for us all , secondly why does it has to be final? Why? No.

I don't see that it should be their final tour if the sun story is true, they could easily do a 30th anniversary tour. If they do a 25th anniversary tour I'm just wondering is it too soon after the last tour as they do have a limited discography to change things up from the another tour so soon.

If there is a tour in 2021 I still think it would part of the 2019 tour it’s just it would go international after the UK/Ireland tour and would also coincide with their 25th anniversary

To be honest, if they tour again and go international I seriously hope they change the show a bit. It was very 'britannia'-centric last year. It's fine when you are doing that within Britain, but outside it will look a little bit too nationalistic I think!

In what way?

I don't think there will be any tours in 2021 unless a vaccine is found...

I hope you're wrong otherwise no Pussycat Dolls for moi  They're still scheduled for October, somehow but I don't see that happening lmao.

I need to see the Spices this time after missing out in 2019!

Thanks so much to Joseph for designing our new forum banner! It's my favourite image of them, such a classic. Thanks also to McAndrew who designed our previous banner with tour images. Lots of talent on BuzzJack *.*

If anyone is interested, this was the initial rough concept for our new banner (basically I wanted to delete some files on my computer lmao, I uploaded it so I thought I may as well share):

Changes made for the final banner:

- Remove UK flag design to make it all blue (that logo is taken from Viva Forever single cover)

- Make the background the same grey colour of the forum layout

You absolutely must *.* Let's pray this tour ends up happening.

Even though I went 3 times in 2019 and spent a small fortune to do so... I would definitely go again

I prefer it with that Union Jack logo :o Why did we change it?

Extend the tour is the right idea yes to set the record. Even though I won't be able to attend unless they come to Asia, I will be cheering from afar. As much as I'm happy about this but also worried.

It isn't going to be extending SW19 it will be adapted. The Australia announcement from April that never happened has turned into a world tour with more countries.

It is all very much decided where and when, that the show will be adapted. They sign next month provided one doesn't get cold feet again like Geri did in 2019.

Ooh do you have some inside knowledge? :w00t: I hope so
