You called her selfish for the choices she makes !!

So grow up.

I am not a Melanie C lunatic.

Don’t go back on your shameless words now.

You will never be anyone’s Hun.
Same. This is what annoys me the most about Mel C. She has such a derrogative understanding of what the SPice Girls are, even today after last year's tour. Her insistance that nostalgia and touring is the only thing viable for her, and her 'unreleased tracks are shite so we will never release them', is really sad.

There's so much to discover about them from back then and now, it's a shame she is the main stumbling block. I think if her solo material had been interesting at all, or even unique or whatever, we could go 'oh yeah, she knows what she is talking about' but then you look at the 20 years of absolute crap she put out and you have to question if this is all about legacy at all or her own fear of going back to Spice Girls in any full time capacity.

In the end, it seems selfish, in my opinion, and makes me resent her solo music even more.

While I understand your point I think selfish is totally the wrong word to use.

I do get where your coming from, even if I don't agree with the comments about her music, it would be amazing if she could get back with the other 3 (4) and produce some more music with them. I for one think they have the ability to create something spectacular if they really go all out and take the time, but it's her life and her prerogative.

We have no idea what it's like working with the girls it may not always be the best experience we see, they all have strong personalities and I suppose conflict is more likely to arise on a creative piece of work as apposed to nostalgic, especially with them all having different music tastes. Melanie was clearly outvoted when it came to the inclusion of Voodoo and Headlines on the GH, maybe it was the same with Forever or Spiceworld or both and she simply isn't prepared to do that anymore.

You will never be anyone’s Hun.

Listen babe, I am not attacking Melanie C. I am just reading the terrain. She can do whatever she pleases to do, but I dont have to enjoy it and I certainly can think she can do better (she can) and that she can be amazing with the Spice Girls (she can, they can).

I know she is happiest as a solo artist. That's not the point here.

And yes, selfish is a bit of a strong word, but I dont know what other word to use. Let me check.... self-serving? :P

Also, guys, please take a chill. It's not that deep and Im not being derrogative to Mel C. Please.... there's a life out there beyond castigating people for their own choices. (I just dont have to like them choices eh)...

But then again, this is a Melanie C thread and we all know how fragile the MC fans can be :teresa:

Love you all really

Ah I didn't see the other responses to this thread before posting mine. Let's just chill out guys there's no need to take everything personally we live in this wonderful place called the net where we're all entitled to say how we feel but let's say it nicely.
The 3 Mel C fans who can't accept criticism of her got old really fast. You know she isn't reading this, you don't need to defend her 24/7 from opinions she will never read.
Mel C

Her name is Melanie C. Thank you! B-)

Not according to her social media. You'd think as a big fan you'd know that.

Pipe down Sammy. Just because you get called out on your BS.

Let's chill out girlies, it's not worth the hassle...

That's enough now guys. There's really no need for people to get personal or attack. Any more I am going to lock the thread.

In all seriousness, personal attacks are vile and I hope people stop. There's no need for such violence, we are all talking about people we love here.

I've created my Christmas playlist for this year and having not heard them for ages all three of their Xmas #1's are all sublime  I think amongst my fave Xmas #1's ever!

It always feels like Xmas when you see the videos for those 3 songs on rotation on the various music channels.

I think other non Xmas specific ones that give similar feels are Stay Another Day (East 17) and Never Had a Dream Come True (S Club 7)

Love the airplay the 3 xmas number 1s get at this time of year. Hearing 2 become 1 on the radio is so nice

From a fan on Pop Justice:

Likely Stories AKA C U Next Tuesday has recently been registered on ASCAP by Concord. Biff signed a deal with them in March of this year.

Probably means nothing but HEY let speculation begin :funky:

It would be nice to get 2 "new" songs next year with Feed Your Love and Likely Stories. It's interesting Biff's new music publisher recently registered Likely Stories. The plot thickness next year for the 25th anniversary. Fingers crossed.
