P!nk's album isn't her very best for me but it's nevertheless a good listen, as you can always expect from her

Pale Waves and Kojo Funds sound like they're worth listening to.

How Did We Get So Dark is another great effort from Royal Blood. I wanted to get the white vinyl but it came out on the same day as a Bowie pic disc 7", and I was also saving up for a Radiohead re-release on triple blue vinyl the following week. (Favourites: How Did We Get So Dark, Lights Out, Hole In Your Heart, Where Are We Now, I Only Lie When I Love You)

Different Creatures. Pretty good album plus it has one of the best album covers of 2017. Just got the previous album Young Chasers on vinyl from a Notting Hill record store. (Favourites: Wake Up, Fire That Burns)

Gang Signs & Prayers. Another good album. Big For Your Boots is a tune, but my fave has to be the spiritual Blinded By Your Grace Part 2.

Haven't heard Beautiful Trauma, but What About Us and the title track sound good.

DAMN is a great hip hop album, not as excellent as To Pimp A Butterfly but still. (Favourites: HUMBLE, FEEL, PRIDE, LOYALTY, ELEMENT, GOD, DNA)

Glad you like both Pale Waves and Kojo funds.

Yes at those highlghts for Royal Blood, Circa Waves and Kendrick albums.

Stormzy had some great songs on his album! My favourite is Blinded By Your Grace Pt. 2, hope some more songs like this can chart this year!

Yes Blinded By Your Grace is beautiful.

I do plan on continuing tomorrow/today technically sorry for the delay

Album Chart Run: The Architect [1-1-2-3-3-2-4] (7 Weeks)

Singles Chart History
Single 2: Guilty [34-30-30-23-37] (5 Weeks)

I Say: "Whilst it doesn't top her first two albums which I believe to be her very best so far, her fourth album does offer some clear highlights as stated below. Guilty is easily the one I love and go back to often. As far as fourth albums go this is pretty good and she should be proud. Thinking critically this album along with the ones here does have its flaws that do top it from going top 10. It is rather long even without the Deluxe Edtion so it does have some filler involved".

Top 5 songs from album
1. Guilty
2. Till I'm Done
3. WW3
4. Crybaby
5. Warrior

Single 3: Nothing’s Wrong [36] (1 Week)*

* = Still In Chart

I Say: "Whilst this album doesn't compare to first at all. It is still very much a great album. The best thing about this is that. *Sighs* Little Of Your Love should have been huge, not sure why it was not. Baffling. It even had a great remix in the form of Bloodpop.

I Say: "After a long legal battle it is great to have Kesha back in the music industry. Praying was the perfect first single for the era. Summed up the drama of the battle in one song. Whilst the album shores a lot of sides to her.".

2. Praying
3. Boots
4. Learn To Let Go
5. Old Flames Can't Hold A Candle To You (feat. Dolly Parton)

I was really expecting to dislike Reputation as none of the singles have really blown me away. But I found it really good and a huge step up from 1989 so much so that I actually bought it the other day. :o

I had a lot of expectations going into Gang Signs & Prayer but it really didn't disappoint. He's well deserving of his position of being the biggest grime artist at the time.

DAMN is my album of the year. I love every single track on it.

I've always loved Gorillaz so it was amazing to see them come back last year with Humanz. There were some great tracks on it, especially Ascension & Momentz.

Single 1: Sorry Not Sorry [27-18-9-3-3-4-6-10-14-20-26-40] (11 Weeks)

I Say: "I am going to hold my hand up and say this is one of, if not, her best album she has done to date. It is so good. So many great tracks on it especially the 5 mentioned. Ruin The Friendship just makes you want to get flirty and sexy whilst Sorry Not Sorry makes you get sassy as f***. Demi showcases she can do multiple moods of music and can still sing so brilliantly. A true vocalist :wub".

Top 5 songs from album
1. Ruin The Friendship
2. Sorry Not Sorry
3. Tell Me You Love Me
4. Sexy Dirty Love

09. Zak Abel - Only When We're Naked
3FT0g5m.png

Album Chart Run: "If I am honest I wasn't expecting to love this album as I have but gosh I am obsessed with it still!. Only When We're Naked sounds like it should have smashed. Not only that the album is so so strong apart from two tracks but they are still pretty good too. Whilst it is a shame that the album didn't generate any hits on the official chart. He has this lengthy album chart run to make up for it ;)".

Single 3: Particles [35-28-19-9-5] (5 Weeks)*

I Say : "Their debut album was really good so I had high hopes and they sure did deliver. I actually think this could be better in time. For starters, Sorry is absolutely stunning and great to hear. Not only this all the album tracks are really strong which further shows how much of a strong album this was an how it impacted the year, in my chart.

Top 5 songs from album

Single 3: Summer Bummer feat. A$AP Rocky & Playboi Carti) Summer Bummer [29-27-25-23-19-15-33] (7 Weeks)

I Say: "Admittedly like the last two albums haven't been as good as her debut, so going into the album release I wasn't expecting to LOVE it. However, I did. Love was the perfect song Lana to come back with, her vintage voice and production and quite a lovely topic to sing about. Makes a change to slightly dark themes on love. Those two album tracks I posted are really something too. Especially When The World Was At War We Kept Dancing. Up there with Lana's Best album tracks for me. Along with the likes of Gods And Monster's Brooklyn Baby, Salvatore and now this".

Top 5 songs from album
1. Love
2. When the World Was at War We Kept Dancing
3. White Mustang

Album Chart Run:
÷ [1-1-1-2-2-2-4-3-5-4-5-6-7-10-12-15] (16 Weeks)

Singles Chart History
Single 1/2: Shape Of You [12-8-4-5-10-29-36] (7 Weeks)
Single 1/2: Castle On The Hill [9-2-2-3-15-20-25-32-40] (9 Weeks)

Single 4: Perfect [28-24-17-12-7-4-2-2-1-1-1-3-6] (13 Weeks)

I Say: "So Ed King of the charts Sheeran came back in 2017. A three-year break from the last era. Castle On The Hill set the era off to a great start  It only good better with the album release and the follow-up singles release. Admittedly I will critic on some tracks being a bit standard for him but the highs of the albums are the ultimate highs".

Top 5 songs from album
1. Perfect
2. Castle On The Hill
3. New Man
4. Supermarket Flowers
5. Bibia Be Ye Ye

You rank Bibia Be Ye Ye above Galway Girl/Shape Of You? :o It's a nice song but I wouldn't have it in my Top 5 from Divide :kink:

Loads of great albums here though, I especially loved Humanz last year and very much agree with what you have to say! I like the love for She's My Collar, Momentz, & Ascension especially  Saturnz Barz is a personal favourite  (but I do see why others dont like it :P)

If Divide hadn't dished out a ton of dreadful chart runs to all the songs around it and forced OCC to make a new rule I would've probably quite liked it  It's certainly got something for everyone on, and tons of catchy tracks!

I do really like Galway Girl a lot and shape of you to a extent but overairplay/exposure killed it for me for the laterr opps.

Glad you enjoyed Humnaz. I can see why people dont like Saturn Barz too!

Palome my love!

I expected Zak to be higher actually!!

 tbh actually I wish I had placed it higher but I made this list AGGGES ago.

Yeah I can see why people find it a bit overexposed sadly but I adore the album a lot.

I Say: "Trust Paramore to bring the new wave sound back to the charts *.*. After waiting 3-4 years for new material since band member issues. We finally welcomed the return of Hayley, Taylor and Zac with open arms. From the moment Hard Times came out my hype levels and my stan levels went to an all-time high. The album did not disappoint even if it did contain their worst album track 'No Friend'. They would be no stranger to my EOY chart had it started around their debut album "

Single 7: Don't Let Be Yours [34-28-28-16-15-35] (6 Weeks)

I Say: "Yes Xara  Even if she released So Good and Don't Let Be Yours, I am so glad this album was put into the word. Full of pop BANGERS. I think it either looks shady or shows how strong the album is that in my top 5 most of those #1's from I Would Like and Symphony are not even in my top 5 songs from the album. The top 5 songs are so strong though. Especially Funeral and Lush Life (I will never get why she did not release the former).

I Say : "After a stomper of a debut album that was released 3-4 years ago I was quite worried having Lorde back but I was very impressed. Not only have I seen her grown as an artist but I can see where she is going which is something you don't get to see with a debut. It is a merely an introduction to your artistry. This album is amazing though, honorable mentions to Perfect Places, The Lovruve and Sober. All in round a fab album that deserves to be top 3 and one I will go back to often".

I Say: "Getting the second place trophy this year following Ellie Goulding and Ariana Grande last year. Well done though. I was so hyped for this album after hearing On Hold and it did not disappoint. The only two words I could describe this album is 'Absolutely breathtaking'. The best thing is my top 5 changed a bit from the start of the year as I wasn't feeling Dangerous all that much until it was a single and now I prefer it to I Dare You ".

I Say: "All Hail this year's number one. Earning it when most of the year I have been saying The XX is my favorite album of 2018 but in the last couple of months, Dua steals that crown from them. What a glorious album, you know a album is amazing when all the songs on it are strong tracks and better yet strong album tracks if they are not singles. It is not just the 5 I mentioned I also adore Begging, Hotter Than Hell, No Goodbyes, Lost In Your Light, Homesick, Thinking Bout You and Last Dance. I can see myself in the future saying this is one of my all time favouite pop albums. ".

Top 5 songs from album
1. New Rules
2. Be The One
3. Blow Your Mind (Mwah)
4. Garden
5. IDGAF

I'll say that's a good top 5 based on just the singles, as I've only heard Melodrama and about half of After Laughter in full :kink: Also, couldn't help but noticed all of Zara's #1s have had exactly two weeks at #1 :o

Looking forward to the singles countdown!

Amazing number 1 album  it really is just pop perfection, it's so rare that I like an album like this so much, but I love every song on there apart from Homesick

Zara's album was so good (:kink:) too, but whyyyy did she pick such bad singles, it's packed full of amazing single material (TG4M, Funeral, Sundown etc...) it could have been managed so much better :/ hope she can get another hit soon tho
