"Stranger" is a song by Australian electronic music duo Peking Duk featuring Swedish singer Elliphant.

Here's the third number 1 so far, a massive hit in Australia that I was kinda hoping would crossover her, but it of course never did, Peking Duk have had 2 further entries throughout the year but none have them have done anywhere near as well as Stranger, so I can see Peking Duk remaining a bit of a one hit wonder on my chart, also I'm enjoying the fact Elliphant is only one of two artists to have 2 number ones on my chart lol (the other being Martin Garrix)

One of the best, of many, highlights from Mura Masa's album for me, such an unexpected collab but boy does it work well, with smooth vocals and intense and mesmerising production everything fits so perfectly and I can't help but bop hard whenever this comes on

Never got into 'Stranger', or any of Peking Duk's stuff since 'High' for that matter. Doesn't do it for me.

I seemed to be in the minority that actually really enjoyed this, it was a bit different for Kygo but I was really here for it, the first single from his, well, incredibly flop album, although an undeservedly flop one imo, unfortunately, Kygo's quick release schedule of songs from the album caused this to fall pretty fast out of the top 40, and honestly, I haven't come back to this that much since the album, listening to the much much better Stranger Things (which also fell quite fast whoops)

Martin's big follow up to Solo Dance was, actually, really good, I was surprised by how much I enjoyed this, I think I prefer to Solo Dance now too, a shame this couldn't be a hit, but I think he was always destined to be a one hit wonder :/

Would have been nice to see it get a push, doubt it would have done anything, but it seems like something R1 would have been on board with, especially after supporting 1 Night so well (which still did absolutely NOTHING :( )

One of two Black Saint entries this year (Could You Love Me? to come later) and wow, they've both been really really good, the production on this not being anything too special, the insanely catchy vocals are what make this stand out to me, although this peaked higher than CYLM? it didn't quite have the same longevity causing it to place kinda low here, both of their singles so far have sounded like massive hits tbh, so I'm holding out hope that they can manage one someday!

After loving Freak and Icarus last year, when I saw this came out earlier this year I was intrigued, but still not fully on board with r3hab's new style, but wow this impressed me, it's got mesmerising vocals and typical nu r3hab pitched vocals and future bass production, so understandably not for everyone, so I can't see there being many fans of this on here, but I really love it and it still sounds great :wub:

Well this was very different for Lemaitre, but boy does it work well, with fierce production and a really strong drop this stands out amongst his releases and his most recent album, but yet still manages to really capture Lemaitre's classic sound, with sweeping vocals from Noyes (who's been really on top of it this year) this will remain a firm fave of Lemaitre's for me I think, also the video is actually amazing

Hate to sound basic but this really is THAT song isn't it, when I saw Lorde was releasing new stuff I ofc knew it was gonna be good, but was not expecting it to be this good, it did get a bit old for me at first, but it's stood up to be one of the best of 2017 easily, and the album is just as good if not better tbh (The Louvre is a masterpiece y did I not chart it???). So happy she managed to get a decent sized hit out of this but it really deserved to be much much bigger

Well this certainly seems FAR FAR too low, but it's definitely more of a 2016 song for me, and if I had a chart then this most likely would have been a huge multi-week number 1 for me, I love everything about this song so much, the amazing vocals courtesy of Ina (who's had another huge dance feature on my chart in the form of Breathe) and even the slightly generic pitched vocal drop, which works so amazingly well for some reason, it's different to Martin's other stuff but man is it good, was so happy to see this become at least somewhat of a hit (although it did manage some amazing longevity), if only the follow up All Stars could have had the chance too...
