December 5, 20178 yr Weell the song writers themselves seem to think so,including Linda Perry?? She ALWAYS tells it how it is. Linda Perry who has never in her life worked with Beyoncé? Because everyone who has actually worked with Beyoncé speak very differently to how much she's involved with the creation of all her music. But sure, listen to the woman who's never worked with Beyoncé. ;)
December 5, 20178 yr I thought Sam bailey opened for Beyonce once and she didn't so much as say hi to her hmmm
December 5, 20178 yr Probably would have asked for a writing credit on her covers album if she did
December 5, 20178 yr I thought Sam bailey opened for Beyonce once and she didn't so much as say hi to her hmmm tbh she does strike me as an i'm better than you kind of person
December 5, 20178 yr I thought Sam bailey opened for Beyonce once and she didn't so much as say hi to her hmmm tbh she does strike me as an i'm better than you kind of person This is the same Sam Bailey that's been repeatedly called out for being a self-entitled diva, right? Because people who have ever met Beyoncé flat out state the opposite to your assumptions. Sorry guys. ^_^ Nice try though. Edited December 5, 20178 yr by Lovett™
December 5, 20178 yr I don't know what Beyoncé is like (or care for that matter), but from reading this thread I can tell that all of her fans are great, definitely have a massive sense of proportion when it comes to debates about insignificant things like the crediting of a single on some chart somewhere, and definitely aren't RAGING LOONS who you couldn't invite to a party or wedding for fear they'd be likely to smash the place up if Beyoncé wasn't play listed every other song. Can we move on now please?
December 5, 20178 yr ^ :D (I think that OCC should change the credit if/when Beyonce version outsells the normal version, so if that version does it it will be credited as a #1 and all that retrospectively, if not - then sorry) (I'll hide)
December 6, 20178 yr Guys I have the perfect solution. The OCC should credit every single person who bought & streamed the song because they're why it's going to #1 :cheer:

December 6, 20178 yr Guys I have the perfect solution. The OCC should credit every single person who bought & streamed the song because they're why it's going to #1 :cheer: And the OCC should get a credit for every song in the chart because they're why the songs are in the chart in the first place. :cheer:
December 6, 20178 yr '7/11' is far better than everything she's been involved in since then. x Ha, good joke it's not like she created the album of the year in Lemonade and became by far the most credible female artist of her generation.
December 6, 20178 yr Maybe this is why have such a crediting for 'Breathe' and 'Apologise' in iTunes? Blu Cantrell & Sean Paul Feat. Sean Paul, Sean Paul & Sean Paul - Breathe One Republic Apologise (feat Timbaland, Timbaland, Timbaland and Timbaland) Sean Paul and Timbaland were just multi-buying?
December 6, 20178 yr Ha, good joke it's not like she created the album of the year in Lemonade and became by far the most credible female artist of her generation. Are you implying '7/11' isn't credible??? (In all seriousness, I've not heard all of 'Lemonade' or indeed any of her albums but I didn't like any of the singles bar 'Sorry' which was alright IIRC so I'm kind of mystified by the major hype around it. 'Hold Up' in particular was pretty horrendous. Not been a huge fan of any of her features in the mean time either. She's always been incredibly hit or miss for me but '7/11' is one of my favourite songs of hers x)
December 6, 20178 yr since lovett seems to really KNOW beyonce (considering he keeps stating how much other people don't know her...), did he ask her whether or not she actually cares about the credit so this completely redundant argument can be put to bed? the only people that actually care about her credit or not are the anal chart fans who favour consistency (but it's the OCC, consistency is not their strong point) or rose-tinted beyonce stans who need her legacy to be sprayed all over everything - it's a cash-grabbing phoned in duet from both ed AND beyonce's side made for the sole purpose of money grabbing and chart status so i wouldn't be too insistent or draw much attention to the credibility and credit side of things for something so half-assed...
December 6, 20178 yr After 11 pages of this I really think this debate deserves its own thread, looking forward to the Mids today so we can get back to some discussion on Chart Predictions.
December 6, 20178 yr I'm looking forward to any further instances of this '''''debate''''' getting a warning to be honest.
December 6, 20178 yr It's been a while since I posted on this forum. I forgot that it's full of absolute assholes who have an irrational hate for Beyoncé. Thanks for reminding me guys.
