December 21, 20177 yr I see criticism aimed at Charli for not committing to 'an album cycle' - well why is that so necessary. The only market of people buying albums today is MOR, those over 35. I think the album market will continue to survive for some time, but effectively for the young the format is dead so I applaud her for doing what she wants and not what is 'expected'.

The reason she does these mixtapes is because Atlantic won’t release her music as they don’t think it will sell though. Hence why they put £££ behind ‘boys’ and ‘after the afterparty’.
December 21, 20177 yr First listen through and it's a really solid EP! Only song that was a bit eh was Lucky but I'll give that a chance to grow - my faves are Out of My Head, Femmebot and Track 10 currently but I'm really impressed with it! I'm hoping for a proper commercial push for Out of My Head as it's pretty accessible but has some clear PC Music influences - could be the track to kickstart some PC Music mainstream success.

January 3, 20187 yr Still can’t get enough of this. She’s released two of my top 3 albums of the year and they’re not even albums 🙃 Wasn’t sure she could top 'Number 1 Angel' but 'Pop 2' is just everything. 2017 was all about Charli for me.
January 3, 20187 yr I have never ever been a Charli fan (away from Boom Clap and Boys) - I saw her live at a nightclub and she was an absolute state and I rallied against her then and snuffed at those that stanned "the kween!!1" when Sucker was really quite bad in places. BUT THIS MIXTAPE IS E V E R Y T H I N G. It is massive, global and so abrasive. The features all work perfectly and come from all backgrounds, genres and styles. I am totally obsessed with Femmebot, like it makes me feel so empowered and LIKE I CAN DO ANYTHING HELP ME. Out Of My Head is incredible too obvs. I can't believe she's impressed me as much as she has with this, but it goes to show that with the right kind of material and messages and things to say you can do it and win over anyone. I'll never really write anyone off but Charli was so low down in my affections it was only because I loved Boys that I even gave this the time of day. A COLLECTION <3 I need to check out the other mixtape from last year. How does it compare to this?
