Without further introductions, the #1 worst song of 2017 in my opinion is...

 

1. SAM HUNT - BODY LIKE A BACK ROAD

I thought, it couldn't get any worse... I thought that "Drinkin' Too Much" was enough bad as it is, but NO...

THIS Abomination of a song drives me up the wall, every single time I've listened to this song, I never feel the same again.

As soon as I heard the first notes on the guitar for this song, I want to punch a Wall, I wanted to set something on fire, I WANT TO KILL SAM HUNT!

Ok, maybe I've gone overboard over the last one, I don't want to kill anyone, BUT STILL: BODY LIKE A BACK ROAD SUCKS!

The production is barely country, Sam Hunt is a douchebag on the song and the lyrics... by god, it has the worst lyrics of the year.

First of all, the obvious: "Body Like A Back Road", why would you ever compare a woman to a back road, it means that she is dirty, broken and in need of repair! SCREW YOU SAM HUNT FOR THAT!

Hell, the chorus itself sucks, not just because of the "Body Like A Back Road" line, the line "I'ma take it slow just as fast as I can" drives me nuts aswell, I think that Sam Hunt wants to have sex with a woman, that's all!

I could do a lyrical analysis on this song, but that would take the entire thread, so I'm not going to do it!

It's the worst songs of 2017, the worst "country" song I've ever heard and it makes me sad, that it is the biggest country song in America.

Thankfully it wasn't popular elsewhere, otherwise I would start a riot.

I might have been very angry throught this countdown and in some songs my opinion might change, but there is one thing that will be forever standing.

Sam Hunt's Body Like A Back Road is my worst song of 2017.

YES for a mutual disliking of LWYMMD :cheer: Terrible song.

 

Kodak Black is one of the worst big US rappers at the moment too, I haven't liked a single song of his but he's not offensive enough to land in my hate chart either. 'Tunnel Vision' making the US top 10 was a bit WTF but I suppose he is really popular there now for whatever reason.

It's great that we have the same opinion on LWYMMD,

yeah I have to live with Kodak Black being popular in the US, even though I still don't like him.

 

 

I quite like Bon Appetit.

Body Like A Back Road is awful, the only thing stopping it from topping my hate list is that is wasn't big in the UK so I only heard it from US chart reviewers and recaps. But yeah, terrible song.

It's okay, that you like "Bon Appetit", it's your opinion and I'm not gonna argue with you on that.

And dammit, forgot to mention that the chorus was just like "I'm Too Sexy" just with changed lyrics, well it sucked too.

Well, you shouldn't like everything I'm putting out, still if you like some of those songs, I'm glad.

I like Humanz, For Crying Out Loud, As You Were and Wonderful Wonderful

Have to listen to Jessie, PVRIS and NBT

I have listened to both Humanz & For Crying Out Loud from that section.

 

I think Humanz is really good and has some great stand-out tracks (especially Ascension & Momentz) but dragged on a bit towards the end.

 

For Crying Out Loud was decent, I do really like Comeback Kid & You're In Love With A Psycho.

Some great tracks in that list of albums! Sorry and Selfish Love both made my Top 10 whilst Cocoon reached #1 :D
