In the early stages of the album's development, Madonna wrote a song called Goodbye to Innocence. During the writing of this, she began singing Fever (a song originally by Little Willie John) and subsequently went on to record a full version of the song. With additional lyrics and a punchy beat, she transformed the song to fit it into the aesthetic of the album. With a garishly freaky video to accompany the song it's not the most accessible of Madonna songs and hasn't really set this series alight.
