This is one gig I am sorry I missed ...

An old favourite

"United"

You sit and scream at all the scandal

That put the monkey on your back

Don't put your idols on a mantel

You'll only want your money back

Don't slap my face and call me brother

Lend a hand and knock me out

So one disciple to another

What's this really about

Are we united?

'Cos I'm really not that sure

When you've decided

Spread some love and ask for more

I sit and think about my maker

And what he's got in store for me

I wanna be a right-on daddy

Protect my wife and family

Are we united?

'Cos I'm really not that sure

When you've decided

Spread some love and ask for more

Are we united?

'Cos I'm really not that sure

When you've decided

Spread some love and ask for more

Runnin' out of love

Got a pain in my head

It's bringing me down

God send me something

Got a gun on my hip

Real tight grip

Don't give me no lip

Boy send me something

When a woman needs a man

Man do what you can

Lend them a hand

And send them something

Send them something

Are we united?

'Cos I'm really not that sure

When you've decided

Spread some love and ask for more

Have you decided

To spread some love and ask for more

Have you decided

To spread some love and ask for more

Some of the comments under this video are lovely, shows how a particular song & can have special meaning in a persons life

Hey folks!

Can I ask you to translate (I mean put the Robbie's words) some videos like this from time to time?

I understand 95% but some parts and meaning are out from my understanding.

Please support with that one.

This song is one of faves on Intensive Care:

Are you looking for the lyrics to the song in English Alex, not sure if that is what you are asking !!

"Random Acts Of Kindness"

For those about to die

We salute you

For those of about to cry

We love you

For those of us who live in fear

Of Happy Christmas and new year

I raise a toast to you

And if it hurts

To be so blind

Why don't you try

Being kind

They've decided to become

A little more Pro-active

Creep upon you while you sleep

And make you less attractive

Born without a spine

Why don't you try

Being kind

For those out drinking at their mother's way

You'll find a way to soldier on

For those whose love evaporates

I pray you'll find where you belong

Oh, the words I have repressed

Are coming out today I guess

It is justice not respect I'm after

And that just leaves contempt

For you all

Oh oh oh

Yeah yeah

Yeah

I am just a simple man

With simple expectations

Deep regrets

They're seldom met

God speed my generation

And with Crowley on my mind

I should try being kind

For those about to die

We salute you

For those of about to cry

We love you

For those about to die

We salute you

For those of about to cry

We love you

This is a tough one Alex but I will have a go anway ,

Filmed at Henson studios ( famous for The Muppets ) . Random Acts of kindness he says is about revenge & wishing people were not as sadistic as they are but in conclusion when writing the song he found that he was just as sadistic himself. ..he then acts the part of sticking ' a fork to the jugular ' :o ..he then says that RAK evolved from musically the theory of quality "causing harm to strangers by means of magic house" . He says it's a kind of mystical song being of Robbie trying to be Gandalf

The Crowley he refers to in the song is from this guy who was all into magic/spiritualism etc ( born in Leamington Spa in UK ) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aleister_Crowley

& Gandalf was a wizard https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gandalf ( actually in the SIN,SIN,SIN video Robbie looks a lot like him )

Seems like Robbie does a hell of a lot of reading when researching for song ideas

Hope all of that helps

Also from the album Intensive Care , I so  this song , I also love the way the music continues on at the end even after Robbie has finished singing . I see Claire Worral did backing vocals & they has 8 violins & 2 cellos, no wonder it sounds so beautiful ...

King of Bloke & Bird

Robbie Williams

What you do speaks so loud

I cannot hear what you say

Except for the occasional word

So fates a sentimental sight it bothers me

No longer king of bloke and bird

All of my life

Searching hard

Down in the wires

Of love

Summer me now summer my life away

Summon me onto another day

A hand through the clouds keeps

Knocking me down

It's no less than I deserve

They built museums I don't visit them

I've made enough trouble of my own

Into the night

Searching hard

Look for the light

Of love

Summer me now summer my life away

Summon me on

Summer the evening winter ways of falling down again

I sing from the chaos in my heart, ...in my heart

Then comes the eveing that makes life worth living

Shoving the shoes out in the light she walks in , I can hear her

That did help me too, thank you.

Just one thing: you wrote "For those out drinking at their mother's way".

I remember it as "at their mother's wake" but I don't remember where I read this.

By the way lots of people say that the lyrics for Swings Both Ways are full of ambiguousness and puns.

Perhaps you can explain some of them too? I only understand the ambiguity of the title.

I wonder about Robbie reading about Alistair Crowley..... quite a thing. He by the way lived in one of the Houses in the part where Robbie lives in London now.

I'm Getting hard on the pavement

Can you find me some grass?

I have a certain arrangement

Up the kyber pass

Oh yeah

Let's get high with some fruitcake

Fruitcake and tea

And after I've done her,

Well you can do me

Can't believe the conversations we have on here

Lundi for Khyber Pass - read arse. He's talking about anal sex.

The whole song is full of double entendre's about sex. Real British bawdy seaside humour.
