Southampton have apparently agreed a £19.1 million fee with Monaco for Guido Carrillo. Although nothing has been signed as of yet.

Meanwhile City look likely to bring in Aymeric Laporte, the centre back from Athletic Bilbao. Not seen much of him but he has a very good reputation, and will be a useful alternative to Stones and Otamendi given how busy their schedule will be.

Don't know about wages, but even with a £65m release clause he'll probably end up being cheaper (and younger, and less disruptive) than Sanchez.

Arsenal said to be apparently close to a £60m deal for Aubameyang from Dortmund as long as Dortmund can sign a replacement.
I'd be VERY envious if Arsenal manage to sign him, a player I've always wanted to see at United. Genuinely think he's a better player than Sanchez and would be the best forward player in the PL after only Kane & Aguero - his scoring stats over the past 3/4 seasons are insane.

Apparently Newcastle have made an enquiry for Liverpool's Daniel Sturridge to sign him on loan.

Can't help but think that Aubameyang would be a curious one for Arsenal. They've spent £60m on Lacazette, who has done well if not amazingly, and Giroud is an excellent Plan B. Aubameyang is better than either, but he's also notoriously disloyal and won't want to play wide.

They need a direct winger really, which is why the rumours of Lucas Moura and Malcom made so much sense.

If he can adapt to the Prem he’ll be a fab signing! Glad it’s for Arsenal as he won’t turn them into a title winning side but will be great to watch

Aubameyang is a strange one, as I have no idea where he will play and it only makes sense if Giroud leaves. I think it sends a statement more than anything else tbh.

I'd take Aubameyang and Miki over Walcott and Sanchez. The question is how quickly he can adapt to the league.

Yeah definitely, objectively speaking it's a good buy but it does seem to be a face saving exercise as much as anything else.

Diafra Sakho joins the long list of strikers having left West Ham in disappointing circumstances. He did score more than about the last 30 combined.

Well they will be losing Ozil in the summer too, but I think Miki is more of an Ozil replacement. I am sure their current head of recruitment is the old Borussia Dortmund guy? Seems to me like Wenger wil probably resign in the summer take a board role and Tuchel might take over.

I am surprised you guys aren't in for Sturridge to be honest.

It would be very West Ham to sign an injury-prone, past-his-prime player on ridiculous wages...

We've got too many one-dimensional strikers already, I'm not convinced he'd be much more useful to us than Chicharito has been. Great player, but needs teammates buzzing around the box and creating chances for him which we won't do consistently even against weaker teams.

We've been linked with a few including Smolov from Russia and Graziano Pelle as a Sakho/Carroll replacement. Assuming that Arnautovic will continue to play up top when he's fit, he's been very good the last few months.

West Brom have besten Newcastle to the punch!

The good news is Liverpool win the net-spend trophy again for the transfer window. Klopp and the owners better know what they're doing cos I suspect there will be riots if we get beat tomorrow night :D Even though he has completely lost his pace, he is still a good striker.

Deulofeu joins Watford on loan. Always thought it was odd Barca bothered re-signing him.

Easy, because of where he was born and he was a product of their youth system. He was never good enough for Barcelona.

How do you see Sturridge on loan at West Brom? What do you make of the move?

He will score goals wherever he goes, he has lost his pace but he will still score. Annoying as Liverpool are the only team to come out of the transfer window weaker, sold our best player and have loaned our best back-up striker. I can only assume Klopp is confident he can get us to the Top 4 and get who he wants in the summer.

This will depend on two transfers with Giroud moving to Chelsea and Batshuayi moving to Dortmund.

Still no news about that^

Mahrez has submitted a transfer request to Leicester City with reports of a £50m bid from Man City.
