I had a first listen and it's nice... I even wouldn't have minded some of the songs from EG0 added to the main album

The weakest link is clearly the Blackbear track, it's a bad bad song and doesn't fit anywhere, not even on EG0 :D

Woman is the best thing she's put out in years besides Flux

All in all the album is very different to what I expected! Almost Gospel, but very authentic too! Seriously every single single she's put out badly served this, even River! She's using a more mature vocal all the way through this.

Wow! So The Brightest Blue side is genuinely so strong and this is exactly the type of stuff I love from Ellie.

Start, How Deep Is Too Deep, Love I’m Given are all fantastic. I also liked the title track and Woman. The 13 tracks on Brightest Blues side of the album definitely feel like a classic Ellie album. The second part with all the collabs isn’t really needed they’re not terrible but the first disc is definitely the type of Ellie I prefer. Tbh the decision of this being a double album could be for commercial reasons as the collabs disc will boost the streams of the album it’s nice to have them not disregarded but the first disc is definitely the stronger of the two for me.

Overall this album is really strong. I hope people check this album out and aren’t reluctant to hear the album if they weren’t keen on what’s been released prior to release. The Brightest Blue side to this album feels like a natural follow up to Halcyon. I’m a definite fan. I’ll post some rankings over the weekend but on first listen I’m impressed :yahoo: It’s been a long wait and my expectations weren’t sky high but in the end she did deliver on a strong album.

Love I’m Given is already god-tier Ellie. Was hoping my cassette would come today :(

I just don't understand how her fans slag off 'Delrium' and 'EG 2.0' and not 'Burn'?

I don't get the hate for 'Worry About Me'... it's a great track.

As for the album, it's superb... side a is very 'Halycon' inspired whilst side b feels like a play on popular hits now.. saying that 'Close to Me' and 'Worry About Me' would sit quite easily on side a.

Really strong album! My early favourites are 'Flux', 'Love I'm Given' and 'Tides'
The best album tracks are Love I'm Given, Bleach and Tides. I love this album more than Devotion but not as much as her first two atm.

My CD came today. I’m gonna have to be so careful with it as it’s one of those paper / cardboard type cases but it’s nice to have all of her albums on a CD format.

Projected for 15-18k in the US, with 7-8k being pure. Delirium did 61k in Q4 so it's not good but not...the most horrific thing ever I don't think? If she gets 18k that's a 70% drop from Delirium, if she gets the same in the UK she'll debut with 11k here.
Great album. I see a low peak position but decent longevity due to the multiple streaming hits. Maybe similar performance to Rita's Phoenix? Though it would help if she had a current hit.

you cannot compare the US market from 5 years ago and now

plus Delerium had LMLYD, that had gazillions of streaming points counting towards the album
