Regarding Max he is extremely talented, but his confrontation with Ocon has made me think twice as to whether I can still warm to him. Let's see what happens next year.

An announcement that could happen in Abu Dhabi, would be that Robert Kubica is set to make a remarkable comeback by agreeing a deal to join Williams for next year.

Fantastic news if so, one of the most naturally talented drivers since I've followed the sport. Gave Hamilton, Alonso et al a run for their money on plenty of occasions whist at Sauber.

As we approach the final race of his second stint at Ferrari, Kimi Raikkonen is currently Ferrari's most recent world champion, race winner, pole position and podium sitter, a little stat for you.

So Kubica confirmed as Williams driver for next year, this is one of the most remarkable sporting comebacks I can think of. It is fantastic to see Kubica back in F1 for next year, never did I think that this would happen after his horrific rally crash back in 2011.

From the human point of view, I understand and see the point that it is a story that probably nobody has believed. Probably the only one who never gave up was myself and the people around me.

"We all knew that it might be something not achievable. This shows that somehow nothing is impossible.

"From the driving point of view, you just have to wait a few months and you will see. If I would not be able to drive competitively enough, I would not be here.

"It is a normal way of thinking that people see my limitations and ask how it is possible I can do it, and I know it is hard to believe.

"But Williams has seen it this year and I have seen it in the last 16 or 18 months since I first drove an F1 car in Valencia last year that I can do it, thanks to work, but also that my limitations are not limiting me as most people are thinking."

Claire Williams:

"It is a great credit to his strength of character and tenacity to return to Formula 1. He has a level of determination that is remarkable to see."

I wish Kubica all the very best in his comeback.

Haas have protested to the FIA about both Force India cars ahead of the Abu Dhabi GP.

Funny way to say “we’re in a huff because our money couldn’t buy a mediokre driver a second season when even Palmer got a second attempt”

this time it wasn't his fault (for once)

sad that it was Alonso's final race

We need more of this side of Lewis

Didn't see the race finale.

Alexander Albion has joined Toro Rosso as their second driver for next season, the grid is full with the likelihood that Stroll 'joins' Force India based on $$$.

Force India aka Stroll's Daddy daycare have confirmed that son Lance 'undeservely ' confirmed as driver for next year.

^ ugh. and while ocon gets nothing (p.s. I really don't get why he got 2 days public service for what happened with max. I get that he pushed back a bit but max was right in his face) (p.p.s. what even was their public service? I read that it was at the "discretion of the FIA'... probably nothing and they had to make it look like they took a stance..)

hamilton and vettel doing donuts with alonso at the end was such a nice touch. sad to see him go

It's sad to see Alonso go, just a shame that he didn't have that final hurrah in a McLaren.

Regarding Stroll, I do wonder how long he'll be in the seat for.

Stroll will be there for as long as his daddy bank rolls the team

It’s disappointing to see him retain a seat when people like Stoff and hell even Ericsson lose their drives despite being better drivers. That’s before you get onto people who are actually fairly talented.
