The Posh v Forest game next week has real potential I think. Could be an absolute cracking Bank Holiday Monday fixture, hope there's a really good atmosphere in the ground!
Hopefully. With any look it'll be two teams virtually guaranteed safety so could prove to be enjoyable. I'm interested to see what team we play over the two Easter games being so close together. Cotterill has frozen out so many players over the past few weeks but I'm not fussed with any of them playing a part. The last 4 games have seen the same team except Wootton for McCleary in one game, I suspect McCleary and possibly Reid will only play in one of them.
what is it with bristol as a city that we can't even build a simple stadium easily. Cardiff did there's easily and we have to go through this pointless judicial review. 1 things for sure though i dont want a 30 million stadium in league 1 so 4/6 points please for the next two games at least. Forest we may stand a chance as they might get a bit cocky on the day, coventry we have a really good chance if we put in the passion and performance the supporters expect. come on bristol lets unite as 1

My football team Dundee United have won their last 6 Spl matches, a lot of our players are getting linked to the premierleague/championship.

Anyway, fantastic to see Chelsea qualify over Benfica, I hope they can somehow knock Barcelona out!

Don't think Chelsea have a chance, but you never know. Don't really want another el Clasico, Maureen will probably moan some more about the Barcelona conspiracy for weeks. Really want a Bayern vs Barcelona final mainly for the football. Think it would be class.

A point for Posh today just about confirms Championship football next season, 17th place, 9pts clear of 22nd with 5 games to go. The 5 teams below us need to win at least 2 of the last 5 to catch up, and that's if Posh don't pick up any more points. Next season is going to be tough though, with Taylor and Boyd off!
Next year is definitley going to be Liverpool's year. I can feel it.

At least we went from being shit, to good again. Just same old same old with not converting our chances. Our chance creation is excellent, just our finishing is f***ing absysmal. Kuyt missing from 6 yards out, Given making an absolutely outstanding reflex save, Carroll firing straight at the keeper 6 years out etc. etc. No surprise we actually looked a good team again once Daniel Agger came on. Dunno what I'm hoping for next season. Just hope the management realise in the summer we need to build the team around Suarez and not Carroll.

To make matters even worse Brodie scored the winner for Fleetwood against York today. Bloody nuffin.

Cannot believe Forest lost today, a tale of two keepers, Gerken was superb and Lee Camp moronic. Bristol City were woeful, the only decent chance they had we created. Their support was absolutely terrible as well, they had nearly as many players as fans. That was honestly the smallest away following I've ever seen at the City Ground, and we've played some really small teams in our League 1 days.... Still, onwards and upwards. Bristol did nothing to convince me they'll finish above us, and on another day we could've had 4 or 5. McCleary and Gunter had their left back beaten every time and some of Guedioura's passing was out of this world. He's the best player we've had in years.

Good win for bristol city today. the lads did well in front of the sky cameras. this result is going to make monday tough though as we could do with another 3 points to go four points clear. if we manage to do that and pick up about another 4 or 5 points we should just about stay up. By the way in response to a previous argument with a FOREST fan, the better side won on the day!!!!!!

by the way anyone who wants city v coventry tickets should hurry up as last update was by bbc bristol with 12 tickets left. Ashton gate s going tobe fuller than konis house. :yahoo:

Possession : For: 60% Bri 40%

Shots: 19 3

On Target 8 1

Man of the Match: Dean Gerken (Bristol City goalkeeper) Better team? Yeah right.

We play like we did today we'll finish higher than we are now, Bristol City did nothing at all to convince me they could overturn the 3 point gap to us.

I just love the fact that once you again you were 1-0 down literally minutes after you should have been 1-0 up once again! Maybe Suarez can be built around but he need to know he needs to get the ball BETWEEN the posts and not on the post :P

Is bloody stupid. It's been the story of our season, although we deserve to be where we are for being terrible in front of goal. I'm just glad the slump of defeats has stopped. For me with the team the ability is there, but there is just a distinct lack of confidence. I know it has been hilarious to watch Liverpool falter even more in to mid-table obscurity of late, but hopefully this will be the last season. Just hope we can win the FA Cup now.

Sunderland drew in an awful, boring game.

Yay.

Carlisle are in the play off positions at the moment but with our goal difference being rather poor compared to others and facing Scunthorpe (unbeaten in 9) and league leaders Charlton in the next two games, I am not overconfident of staying there.
Nottingham Forest let me down for £270. Bristol City are beyond awful and truly deserved nothing out of that game.

it doesn't matter about petty stats like that when you are in our position. We have had so much bad luck over the course of the season that we deserved the penalty. If we can play like we did against the florist, boro, leicester and southampton for the rest of the season we will stay up. it is as simple as that.

beyond awful? if we are that bad then how have we beaten southampton, leicester and the florist? maybe luck for the florist but the others were hard fought victories. Honestly it would be so nice to see you big headed scumbags go down and into administration. it would bring you back down to earth. tut w******.

I only quoted the stats because you said you were the better team and that was far from the truth. I looked on a couple of forums for the opposition (like I always do) and most fans seemed to think you were lucky. You'll have lost games playing much better than yesterday, the same that we've got points this season playing much worse.

If you play like you did against us yesterday you'll be lucky to get 5 0-0s maybe... Defended well but gave the ball away far too easily in midfield and had absolutely nothing going forward. Two attacks of any note all game and they resulted in our keeper gifting you one goal and should've gifted another but was wrongly called for offside. I watched a 15 minute highlight video on youtube this morning and 13 minutes of it was Forest attacking, we did everything but score.
