Seriously, name me a Kygo song this sounds like.

I find that a bit of an offensive comparison.

I didn't say it sounded like any Kygo song in particular, its just the production style sounds similar to his sort of style of production now, with the country style verses/slow dance chorus/pitched vocal drop combo like in It Ain't Me.

So it sounds like his produciton. but you can't name any song it actually sounds like?

I so wanted to love dancing but it's just not geling with me at all.

The chorus is ok but the rest is awful,I'm starting to think il be more disappointed with golden than I was with kiss me once.

I'm also starting to think my days of genuinely enjoying new kylie music are coming to an end as I haven't loved anything since the Aphrodite album.

I miss enjoying her music as I've been a fan since the start but at least il always have a huge amount of back catalogue to enjoy.

Reportly 22 in midweek the 5,8k sales. Can't be doing much at all now for rest of week, dropping on iTunes like a stone and no trim being streamed much. Still top 75 last week needed 4.5k and top 50 needed 7.4k

What do you expect when ti was brought forward? Most of the promo won't be for a while, the remixes wont be ready yeat and we're not getting physicals anyway.

I also imagine the video needs more editing.

I can confirm Kylie is #22 with 5,878 and she sold 976 copies yesterday. That would take her end of week total to 9,782 and would have been enough to just make the Top 40 last week (the #40 sold 8,986 and #38 sold 10,304). I really hope she can make it and not end up at #41/42.

Rumours among the forums are that the video will be released Friday. Seems realistic given the video has already been slightly teased on her social media but who knows? Video editing can take a lot longer than you expect.

i imagine it'll pick up in coming weeks anyway. She's gonna be on Graham Norton's radio show I believe
It'll be interesting to see how the single does when the promo kicks in. Kylie usual has very good promo slots so I imagine the single will see many boosts on iTunes, but it's the right sort of radio support and streaming that are the main factors for being successful in the charts. Surprisingly, strong promo doesn't usually improve streaming - as can be seen by Sigrid being #1 on iTunes thanks to the Graham Norton Show yet not entering the Top 200 Spotify chart.
If she promotes well and she usually does with a lead single dancing should get a new peak as top 60 looks likely to be its peak this week.

Mid week update:

No26 today.

Sales are as follows;

Total: 6,408

Digital: 4782

Streaming: 1626

Sold 530 copies yesterday. Every other song in the Top 70 outsold her yesterday. Currently the mid week no40 is on 4497 sales.

She's too busy solving world peace issues to promote.
I don’t think the video will make any difference to how the song does but she has some quite good TV promo coming up. They just needed something this week really. Also lables with acts like Kylie need to focus on Spotify way more than they do.
Yeah, thinking about it releasing the video at the start of the week (i.e. Monday or something) and one TV performance somewhere could have made the difference between her staying top 40 and not. :(

This is all due to it being released early I think. It's a bt=it of a lose lose. Release it early to combat the leak and lose a decent peak due ot not being ready, or release it at the due date and have more promo etc but lose out due to a leak.

I think the album will have better promo around it, she is rumoured to be on the first episode of Drag Race seaosn 10 in March time and no doubt the queens will lip synch to one of her songs.
