I thought it was typically euphoric as Greatest Day usually sounds, should help the album ease near the top spot this week although this project hasn't been well taken too, seems a bit pointless!

Not sure where to post this as Friday Chart Predictions isn’t open yet, but Mint Royale has posted that Take That have sold more than Michael Buble’s entire first week sales on Friday.

wow, they must've had a lot of pre-orders. was expecting them to be #1 fairly comfortably but already out-doing Bublé's first week sales?!

wonder if they'll be able to do 100k this week or if they'll end up being super front loaded, I'm tempted to think the latter.

Apparently there was some sort of access to concert tickets if you pre-ordered the Take That album.

Not sure if that means Buble didn't do the same thing, or he just isn't as big a touring act.

That's pretty amazing for Take That in this albums sales era, thoigh they'll slow as the week goes its still Xmas season now so will sell decently enough daily!

So they sold more than 65k in 1 day!

Wow was hoping for big sales but thought they would end the week on 70,000 but they could do 100,000 ,plus now which would be brilliant.

It could be the first album to pass 100k paid for sales in 2018

Take That always have massive first week sales, it's no surprise.

There's various factors going against this one though:

1) The last release wasn't as well received as previous

2) they now aren't singles artists

3) this album is a reimagining of their biggest hits and only 2 new songs

No surprise that they’ve already sold more than Buble. TT have moved more than 100k during the Xmas period every time they’ve released at this time of year. They could quite well stay at #1 for the next few weeks
They shifted more than 100k paid for sales last year in March but they were kept off the top by Ed Sheeran

Very surprised

As i personally think its a bad GH

The reimagined songs ruin the originals

And the newies are terrible

But alas thats how it is with the uk buyers ;)

I just wish that they’d rerelease this album but with the original versions instead of the reimagined versions

So all the parents with kids that dont know what to buy are getting a take that album for christmas (it probably because they believe their parents dont get streaming)

Dont get Cds as xmas presents

My mum will ban me from the family

If i gave her a TT album as Xmas present

Then me and my friends must be a rarity, because we don't have kids and we bought ourselves the album -which, by the way, it's great :P

It's only you, British, that like to make fun of TT. The rest of the world takes them pretty seriously. Most of the songs are barely different from the originals and the 3 new songs are great.

People are buying this album because it's a concept album, that no other artist has done before.

I'll be very happy if the opening sales are over 100k - that'd mean that at least some British have good taste :P

What on earth are you talking about, reimagined greatest hits with a couple of new tracks is standard fair for most heritage acts who have had a greatest hits already.

Why do you think we are flooded every year with loads of X artist with the Royal Philimonica orchestra albums?

Not the way TT did it. On some songs, they've mixed old vocals with new vocals, on other songs they've completely changed the arrangements, we have great duets, interludes, non-hit songs intermixed with the classics, bits of interviews, 3 new songs and so on. They've really put effort into making this kind of album different. They didn't want to do a GH album in the first place, but the record company forced them and so, they did it their way.
