Dua promoted her album from an Airbnb flat in London for most of 2020 let's not forget!

 

When restrictions were eased she flew to the US, promoted Levitating there, and moved in with the Hadids, spent Christmas with them. Now they go to a house in Mexico, the neighboring country, and people are calling her out for "TRAVELLING DURING A PANORAMA"

Travels is still safe to be honest.

 

Maybe I am in different mindset since I work for airline (currently on leave) but I have travelled already 4 times since pandemic started...I do often tests especially before, during and after travels!!!

Travelling whilst safe is also not responsible too? Like esp if you have a big platform you could encourage people to not be safe while in another country. Idk i trust that she is keeping herself and others safe but its still not the best encouragement for her fans idk maybe just me.

Dua's been doing and encouraging that for most of the year ! She traveled to the US for work late last year and have been there ever since staying with the Hadids. Now they go to a Mexico for a break and people are doing the most!

She is getting dragged on Twitter and rightly so, travelling all over the world (again..) while proudly posting all those picture over your social media is absurd and damn ignorant. I LOVE her, but I am definitely losing respect for her with her behaviour. First the birthday party in the summer, then her travels to a tropical island, now the holiday pictures again- what is she even thinking.

As ever with these cases, it's the sanctimonious attitude of these celebrities that I find most off-putting. They preach to us about coronavirus and sticking to the rules, sometimes shaming others for breaking them, yet use their privileges to do what they want. Ordinary people are really suffering, I'm not surprised when there's backlashes like this because people are fed up with being patronised.

 

I'm still a Dua fan, but I hope she's getting a reality check.

"Travelling all over the world" is a bit of an exaggeration. She and Anwar had a quarantine break in St Lucia in July on their way back to the US where she has been until now.

 

This is clearly a private family holiday, they've done the tests and the public aren't at risk.

With all due respect Kath, I think you need to take off your blind stan glasses. I know you're not from the UK, but we all have a stay at home order and she's been preaching about staying at home, having an animated video due to Hallucinate because of Covid and she has been posting up pictures and videos of her travelling, seeing others when that's against the rules - you can't travel unless work related and can't see anyone unless they live by themselves.

 

She may not be putting anyone at risk but can't you see how it's kind of disrespectful to her fans who haven't seen people in months and are making constant sacrifices. It'll make other younger fans think it's okay to go on holiday and be with family now when deaths are at their highest.

 

I'm not wanting to cancel her or anything, just some accountability would be nice. I'm still a fan of her music and this won't stop that.

I can understand where you're coming from, however, I don't think Dua has permanently been living in the UK since July ? She moved in with Anwar in the US and has been traveling safely within the regulations set in the US (and now Mexico).

 

I don't see how she is disrespecting anyone or being irresponsible/bending rules because she's a celeb by seeing her family privately if it's within the leisure travel regulations of Mexico and US states she's traveling between? For what must she be held accountable for then?

 

Dua also hasn't seen her family since June and had to spend Christmas with Anwar's family. She was supposed to move back to the UK this month to see them but it wasn't possible due to the lockdown and her parents came to her instead...

Uh, not at all. She also went for a while to London in the autumn. The live stream was even filmed there, so she has definitely been around the world. I honestly don't understand why you keep defending her. I am also a big fan of hers, so I am definitely not hating on her, but she is completely selfish (just like Rita, Madonna) and live in her own bubble. People have to obey such strict rules and she just gives big middle finger to them, living her priviliged live with her anti-vaccin boyfriend.
