The commonwealth concert I am guessing will be shown in all Commonwealth countries so may get a boost in some territories.

Billboard:

— Kylie Minogue, Golden – No. 64 — Kylie Minogue arrives at No. 64 with her ninth chart entry, and first independently-distributed album in the U.S., as new studio album Golden takes a bow.

The pop princess’ new effort starts with 10,000 equivalent album units, of which 8,000 were in traditional album sales. The latter figure enables Golden’s launch at No. 4 on the Independent Albums tally. Golden, released through BMG, is Minogue’s first indie-distributed set after having her entire previous U.S. catalog go through major labels and distribution. (She was most recently with Parlophone/Warner Bros.)

On the Billboard 200, Golden arrives almost 30 years after Minogue’s U.S. debut set, Kylie, entered the list on Sept. 10, 1988.

Golden’s lead single, “Dancing,” rises 9-5 on Dance Club Songs. It’s her 18th top 10 hit on the list.

Wow she is nbr 1 in Taiwan? That's new

Good to see. Surely her worldwide sales are bigger? She sold 101k in first week no? So with another 22k sold in UK she must be more like 140-150k after three weeks?

64 - out for Golden here in the US this week :( Her US promo was not enough to get any interest tbh (A midnight chat show, an internet only interview and the GMA performance), hopefully the James Cordon appearance will get some interest and she might have more promo planned when she comes back for Pride in June.

She needs to spend more than a week here to break the album and basically do everything offered to her but totally appreciate why she wouldn’t be interested in doing so when the album is doing so well in Europe.

Yep. She needs 5o forget USA to be honest. Get to France and Spain and Italy and then down to Australia and announce some Tour dates. Even Mexico and south America
She done a few interviews for Canada whilst she was in NY so she might get a boost there - Canada has always been more successful for her than the US.
Wow at the German Album sales information! Thanks Liam! It is really a big market, now that Golden is deemed successful in Germany, she must certainly tour there...
‘Golden’ looking likely to be Top 10 tomorrow - great chart run of 1-4-6-10 if so and certainly more than most expected.

It is a solid chart run so far and it would be amazing if she could continue having a steady chart run with the album.

I do remember many saying she would plummet on week 2 so she has proved them all wrong.

Great to see some more Top 10 positions! This is what Golden's chart placements look like so far:

Golden

01 Australia

01 Scotland

01 UK

02 Ireland

03 Germany

04 Belgium (Flanders)

04 Switzerland

05 Austria

06 Czech Republic

08 Spain

12 Belgium (Wallonia)

14 Italy

16 New Zealand

18 Netherlands

33 Canada

33 France

38 Sweden

47 Finland

64 Japan

64 US

Another few Top 10 placing’s to add to the list - it’s climbed to #8 in France and new at #10 in Hungary :cheer: (Also on the Japanese charts for international artists it charted at #10).

Down to 30 on UK Itunes as loads new album enter market.

Even with promo I think a top 20 position in week 5 would be good going

I’ll put a bet on top-15 actually. But even if she falls further down, Kiss Me Once was all the way down to #38 on week 5. Ta-dah!

So far Golden seems to be more or less halving the positions of Kiss Me Once, we shall see how it will go further.

Turns out it was #8 on the sales-only chart, not the main French chart where it debuted at #33 and plummeted.

Based on its performance to date, Golden, i believe will stay top 20 in the coming week.
