I genuinely don't get the criticisms towards the performance. I really don't 🙃🙃

But ehhh. Some press is better than no press

It does seem like they made a bigger deal out of Katy Perry and lady gaga years I wouldn't even know he had performed if it wasn't for here

I don’t remember much promo for Lady Gagas appearance either tbh, although Katy Perry was all over the place (in terms of SuperBowl promo and dancers )
I thought JT's set was okay, not as good as Beyonce's (to me that is the gold standard of SB HT performances) but fine when compared to the likes of Bruno, Coldplay etc. and better than the likes of Black Eyed Peas or Madonna.

I'll be amazed if this doesn't end up as a huge hit... sounds like the perfect crossover pop song for 2018.

Nme calls it a hollow emotionlesd performance

I thought that was the whole point of Justin Timberlake?

I mean he's a good singer, good dancer and has done some good songs over the years but he's never struck me as a particularly soulful performer. I don't think that's necessarily a bad thing.

He isn't soul.

He is just pop with a few good producers.

I bet Janet Jackson wishes she had invited ANYONE ELSE to perform with her. He's nothin special.

I’m sure a song at 67 sells more than 100 copies!?

Digital Sales Data estimates CSTF to have sold 182 copies over the last 24 hours, so the answer to that would be yes.

Tbf, Justin's performance wasn't abysmal, but in comparison to previous Superbowl acts (Madonna, Katy Perry, Beyonce, etc.) his set failed in comparison.

I also think that if he had headlined near to the Futuresex/Lovesounds era, it would have been more hotly anticipated. He's a little (dare I say it...) past it now.

I don't expect to see another slanging match about JT in this topic, I've already deleted several posts this week and it's tiresome quite frankly. Let's all grow up please.
