Posted February 4, 20187 yr The 23rd Winter Olympics get under way in Pyeongchang, South Korea, on 9 February and BBC Sport will deliver comprehensive digital coverage. There will be network TV coverage around the clock from live action to highlights programmes brought to you by presenters Clare Balding, Hazel Irvine, Eilidh Barbour and Radzi Chinyanganya. There will be live action on the BBC Sport website and app, catch-up video highlights and on-demand clips, analysis, insight and news from the Games to audiences wherever they are, on whichever device they want, across all 17 days of action as well as on social media. Great Britain are aiming for their most successful Winter Olympics in history after UK Sport set a target of at least five medals from the Pyeongchang Games. The current record is a four-medal haul set in 1924 and 2014, although Team GB could yet earn a fifth medal from Sochi after three Russian bobsleighers were banned for doping. Will anyone be watching this throughout the 17 days? The big news this year is that Eurosport will be the main broadcaster for the first time. Eurosport will be able to show as much as they can where the BBC from this Olympics onwards can show only 2 feeds live at the same time.
February 4, 20187 yr Love the Winter Olympics! Not really got a clue what Eurosport is so that's annoying, I like to watch the entire skiing/snowboarding competitions which are generally only on Red Button.

February 5, 20187 yr My favourite sport is the Ski/Snowboard Cross - just love how random it is and how it's not unlikely that the favourites to win could go out in the first round. Also we get to see this guy compete again :P
February 5, 20187 yr I am going to be watching as much as is possible given the timezone. Particularly interested for alpine skiing, curling and figure skating based on last time, as well as of course, any athletes from minor hot countries making an appearance. There's nothing better in the Olympics than flipping around the tons of BBC online channels to find something you're interested in. If Eurosport is similarly okay with that then it'll be fine, otherwise, to the high seas.

February 9, 20187 yr I'm going through it on catchup at the moment, mainly for the Parade of Nations to listen out for which countries have interesting athletes (like the Nigerian women's bobsled team), the times are really not that convenient for this one, although I guess I'll probably see a fair few of the morning events at midnight. I caught a bit of the first curling heats the other night.
February 10, 20187 yr Medal table at end of first day: Germany 2-0-0 Netherlands 1-2-1 South Korea 1-0-0 Sweden 1-0-0 Norway 0-3-1 Czechia 0-0-1 Finland 0-0-1 Russia 0-0-1 I saw a bit of cross-country skiing and luge today, pretty decent start. Those Dutch medals come almost all from one speed skating event where they locked out the medals. I think I remember them doing this last time as well.

Was rooting on Johannson for that moustache alone, but the winning jump was pretty stunning too. Well at least we've still got Flisar to look forward to ;) I was hoping Wellinger would win after seeing his qualification jump though so glad about that. What I found odd to watch was that delay where Simon Amman was covered in thermals and had his tummy rubbed for about 5 minutes...
February 11, 20187 yr Feel so bad for Loch, seconds away from getting his third gold and then not even getting a medal. Got to love an outsider getting gold though.
