So 'milkshaking' has now officially been added to the dictionary

Also, Theresa May has signed with an agency as an "inspirational speaker" (apparently that's not even satire)

She might inspire people to leave the room. Perhaps that's the idea.

Evo Morales, longtime president of Bolivia has been forced to step down, after protests were held following his fourth election win (first round only). Supporters will be championing his record of implementing social policies and progress and Bolivia-first views, noting this as a right-wing military backed coup (with speculation that the CIA is involved, Bolivia is valuable for its lithium after all) interfering in democracy.

Detractors will point to it about being one man wanting to stay in power too long and manipulating the results to do so (note that in 2017 Bolivian judges ruled that Bolivia would not have term limits because of this exact issue), however the Organization of American States (international continental grouping containing the independent states in the Americas) confirmed that there was some manipulation. He had announced yesterday that fresh elections would be called.

Meanwhile, protests against privatisation and inequality continue in neighbouring Chile. I say that because I don't think I mentioned it in the thread yet.

and if I am going to do a round up of South American politics, Lula got released, at least briefly with a number of other prisoners who are having their sentences reevaluated.

From what I've seen, there isn't really any doubt that Morales topped the poll in the first round. The question is whether he won convincingly enough to avoid a second round. That makes his resignation, and the part the military played in it, a little worrying.
I think there's also a fair few critics of the legal ruling regarding term limits. Will be interesting to see if he makes the ballot of the re-run. If he doesn't then that has to raise a fair few red flags, until then personally I'm not really buying the story from either side beyond the fact that the results are a bit suspect and there was some shady shit going on around them that means a re-run is a fair thing to do.
I don't use Nazi comparisons lightly, but what the Chinese government are doing to the Uighurs & other Muslim minorities is definitely deserving of them. Why this hadn't been the leading story of every single new bulletin for the past few months is inexplicible, especially in light of the most recent documents leaked to the New York Times.
