I'm happy enough with how this has done if I'm honest.

Same - I’m just pleased she’s managed a Top 40 with ‘Dancing’, this charting was a bonus tbh.

Holding up well this week. 46 and 117 on iTunes. Doubt will be top 100 this week but still think there is some legs here

Wasn't this supposed to be the week you were confident of top 40, or am I mistaken?

Yes but sadly no remixes, phyiscals or discounts happened......

Wondering if they will move on from this to keep interest going in the album? Or if there are still remixes to to come - I’m doubtful we’ll see a physical release at this stage though :nocheer:

Am still thinking she could do a BGT live semi final with Gente De Zona that week for her birthday and they are on London on 24th.....

Just think she would have done something else on Friday f she had moved on and didn't.....

Brilliant to see the Gente De Zona remix number 8 on MTV OMG top 20 videos of week. Watching it now. Brilliant

Also 13 plays on Magic FM so that's good also

I would think the third single will come quickly to sustain the momentum that the album has managed.
Yep looks like they will let this drop now. Bit of shame with the effort they made for Dancing etc. Not even a remixes EP
Tbh it's doing its job, the album is selling well, which is all that matters. We all would like some more top-40s from Kylie but in the current climate it's next to impossible even with big push. And it's by far not a foregone conclusion 59p and remixes would be enough for this to go top-40. They should have released the remix for 59p straight away, and even that might not be enough to go top-40.
^^ Just a shame that they invested in a great video and collaboration and then didn’t follow it up with remixes or price reduction. They know Kylie fans love physicals and they always sell out so would be nice to have them for each release and if indie artists can manage a limited run of 7’ vinyl then I’m sure Kylie/BMG can.

Totally true! It's a fact that they somehow chose to ignore this era "singles wise" but they did build on it "Album wise" in order to beef up album preorders by having different physical formats and bundles!

It was clever to include the 7 inch of Dancing in the album bundles, and they reaped a top 40 placement for Dancing because of that, but why not release a CD and 7 inch for SMFF on remix release week, it would have secured a top 40 placement for sure, who cares about momentum, the single is now nowhere to be found anyway.

I think at this point, top 40 placements in the low end of the top 40 are great for an artist like Kylie and would maintain her legacy and they should focus on gaining more.

The physical release combined with remixes getting released at the same time would have been the way to boost this up the charts. Kylie fans like physicals and got a vinyl with Dancing so a CD would have complemented this single and era beautifully.

That said, i feel slightly guilty giving out as the team have done so well with this era and has resulted in a great return to form for Kylie.

The lack of physicals this era is odd. BMG realised the power of multi-formats for the album yet haven't given the singles the same treatment ('Dancing' vinyl aside). The CD format has given boosts to her previous singles so why they've not given 'Dancing' or 'Stop Me From Falling' a CD release is strange.

Like pippa said though, I can't forsake BMG just for this as they've done Kylie wonders in other areas. They really appreciate having her on their label and it really shows in the way they've breathed new life into the Kylie album campaign.

Its probably a matter of costs.....

the Dancing vinyl was put in place to help sell the album bundles...

I am still not 100% sure we have seen the end of Stop Me From Falling yet.....

Was hoping once again for a Remix EP and price reduction today but we have neither - looks like they have moved on from SMFF which is a missed opportunity as the video is great and the Gente collab could potentially open her up to a new audience/lapsed Kylie fans etc., and shows the diversity of the album.
Yeah, it's strange that despite how much effort was put into the video, the Gente de Zona version has been treated not much more than just a remix. No live performance together and not sent to radio as far as I'm aware.

its playlisted on MTV OMG channel .... was 8 in their charts. sounded and looked so good!

also just remember at the back of your minds.....

24th May - Gente De Zona play London....... same week as Kylie's 50th birthday and...... Britains Got Talent semi-finals week

It would make sense to save a performance with them for something big like BGT, but I feel like we'd have heard something by now, confirmed or rumours, plus it seems a little too good to be true.

Don't get me wrong, it would be fantastic!
