September 6, 20195 yr Given the whole thing a run through now and it’s fantastic as expected and despite knowing three quarters of the tracks already it fits together really well. Ella sounds great and so does MNEK on 100 Times.

September 7, 20195 yr This Is Real is really good... if you can listen past Ella's shrieky warbly thing at the end of most her notes. Gahhh! :( It'd be a clear 10/10 if it had someone less shrieky on it (I genuinely don't know what to call it :lol: - literally sounds like a goat gargling water or something) but for now, I'm gonna continue bopping to it, but I feel like I'll get really irritated by her voice quite quickly on it. I'd love to hear Selena's version!

I guess he bought the rights and his label contacted Selena. Obv they proceeded but I think her record company pulled out last minute. And he went back to Ella. (Some of this at the end of the live video, above)

October 3, 20195 yr Hearing the snippet of Selena's version, I'm so glad Ella got it back. Feel like the song is a bit too powerful for Selena's softer tone.
