May 8, 20187 yr what a f***ing idiot going for St Jeremy. It was clearly only there because of Clarkson yet he goes for it even when its 50/50!!!! (we all know from florence that st jude is the patron saint of the lost causes)
May 8, 20187 yr Where have they found these contestants? :drama: I feel like they didn’t want to give money away!

May 9, 20187 yr Been watching this since Sat. It's alright. I knew the Philip Hammond answer! Judging by various comments I've seen, a lot of people were caught out by that one. It just goes to show how much impact Hammond made as Foreign Secretary.

Oh I know the Cabinet members over the years and decades. One of my specialist subjects. ;) Edited May 9, 20187 yr by Crazy Chris

I didn't get that one right, to my shame (I thought it was Liam Fox!). Hopefully that's not a sackable offence as News & Politics moderator...
May 9, 20187 yr Yeah, not knowing the phrase 'that old chestnut' probably was an indicator she wasn't gonna go too far.
May 9, 20187 yr “You go home with £1,000” This really is getting boring fast when everyone lacks the intelligence the show needs. Maybe its because I’m older but I swear the questions are much easier higher up than they used too! Good job it is over a week as I think everyone would have switched off by Wek 6 if it was weekly. Hopefully, if the show returns, they pick some smarter contestants.
May 9, 20187 yr I knew that Thunderbird answer, I was shouting at the screen "its 4 not 5 stupid" 5 is the one up in Space. ^_^ And the Scouts question, Jeremy didn't even know that  Some of these contestants, have a brain of a peanut

OTOH, there have been rather a lot of questions where - even allowing for the pressure of being in the studio - the contestants seem to be lacking in common sense.
May 9, 20187 yr I think it might be the earliest someone has used a lifeline on Millionaire with the old chestnut question. Historically they would pick 'Ask The Audience ' first.
May 9, 20187 yr There's always been the odd early question on a subject like Coronation Street or celebrities where I might need to ask the audience.
May 9, 20187 yr Could be worse. You could get the 1st question wrong, which has happened more than once in the US edition. When I was in America I got to meet this guy who didn't get off the starting block - dMriTkE3igY
May 9, 20187 yr I just can't believe that the Oxford student needed to waste a lifeline on the heliocentric question. The contestants this time around do seem to be rather dim. I do like the chap from Halifax though and I'm loving JC as the host on this (and I normally detest Clarkson) he moves things along speedily and doesn't waste time with inane waffle like Tarrant did.
