They should make it 3 discs with disc 3 being the greatest hits or 5-10 greatest hits

NOW Summer Party 2018 due for release on 22nd June. I guessed they’d be doing this and I hope it includes some songs which will be on NOW 100

So only one normal disc and one greatest hits disc on Now 100?

 

I suppose it means they can just focus on top 10 hits but that's a shame. Hopefully they can put the money towards not having to license 20+ filler songs towards actually getting some huge hits on here.

I really like the cover for Now 100. It's out July 20th, so will definitely have new Little Mix which is out late June. Now 99 was the first Now with no Little Mix since now 90!

One disc is fine as long as they have big hits there, but it’s likely Perfect and Gods Plan will be there which are two fairly old songs now taking up space for newer hits (Happier and Nice For What at least would be better options if Ed & Drake need to be included)

that is rather disappointing if there will only be one regular disc. I was hoping NOW 100 would be just like every other NOW to keep the series running as usual with an accompanying spin-off to celebrate the milestone.

I’m not looking forward to this anymore. This is not the way they would have chosen to celebrate this milestone when they were at the 50th volume. It’s sounding like a commercial mess and make no mistake, this is the final time I will purchase or care about any upcoming Now volumes.

Germany's Bravo Hits got it spot on earlier this year. The 100th edition could be either bought in a regular two-disc ‘hits’ format, a limited edition three-disc format with a bonus disc of classics, and a standalone five-disc ‘greatest hits’ album with one song from each volume was also released.

 

I hoped Now would take a similar approach as that format would have paid decent tribute to the series and been a good money spinner, whereas this…won’t be as there's not enough value in one disc for people that buy it for current music, and many people will own the chosen classics numerous times over. I guess a 5-disc 100 song special might still emerge, I’m sure there was talk earlier in the year that one was due.

yes I hope NOW change their mind because the big fans will feel a bit ripped off with only one disc of chart hits and one disc of songs they already own, and it will tarnish their legacy somewhat.

 

A 5CD (or 3CD) with the biggest hits from the NOW series would be a big seller and then they can make NOW 100 a normal NOW.

Are we sure ‘greatest hits’ doesn’t just mean cd1 track 1 will be Shape Of You?

 

Anyway I can see this being my last Now regardless. I’m just not that into chart music anymore. Having said that, I enjoyed the way they compiled Now 99 with big name flops.

 

It would be ok I think if the ‘greatest hits disc featured songs that missed out earlier in the series. But it’s probably just wishful thinking on my part that we may get first appearances for Madonna, Billy Joel, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Green Day, a second for Dido and Maroon 5’s This Love.

 

I’ve been getting older Nows recently and have to say I’ve played the Now 27 and Now 31 I got for Christmas a lot more than Now 98 or 99.

I think I'll still buy them, as long as they keep the number gimmick and not go with something like "NOW Summer 2019".

 

I just hope that they don't overdo it with old songs. Defeats the purpose of the word "NOW" doesn't it?

 

Also! NOW That's What I Call A Summer Party 2018 is coming 22nd June. Makes me think the songs that don't appear on NOW 100 may appear on NOW Summer Party.

It would be great if they include some tracks that missed out on being on a numbered Now because they didn’t have the rights at the time as long as it consists of no more than 25% of the album track list. I’d love to see Mr. Brightside finally make a numbered Now for example!

 

I willl not be happy if including ‘Greatest Hits’ means putting on Uptown Funk, Happy, I Gotta Feeling and others they consistently rinse on the spinoffs!

I'd prefer if they replaced "I Miss You", "Feels", "Ciao Adios" and "Silence" with "Solo", "One Kiss", "2002" and "Friends" so we'd know that the first three will definitely be on NOW 100
