Are there any upcoming big releases that will challenge it in the next few weeks? Should be on ACR when it's due to reach ten weeks.

I think it'll spend 9 weeks at the top and become a victim of ACR. Of course, a 59p reduction the week before could prevent that but it's not even guaranteed (Eminem's label tried it with River and failed). No idea what will succeed it as it's still a few weeks away and I'm not sure Rudimental have the steam to keep going that long. Perhaps a well-timed 59p reduction for Marshmello & Anne-Marie could do it?
personally I hope the label take advantage and 59p it to keep it from ACR, nothing else is deserving of #1 at the moment looking at the sales figures and I'd prefer we didn't have any more 'fake'/'default' #1s (imagine 'Friends' making #1 on sub-40k sales, no thanks).

5 weeks at #2 for Rudimental & co. is just cruel though, I hope it can sneak a week in somewhere; even if it is just by default when "God's Plan" goes on ACR.

This said, I can't really think of any impending returns that would challenge for number-one... Unless Rihanna drops something? Or Little Mix?

but does drake's label care enough about the uk to know when to reduce the price on itunes to avoid acr?

Looking at the sales over the past 7 weeks it looks like These Days will get very close next week and the week after - so it may not survive until ACR anyway..

Top chart is chart sales (blue = God's Plan, green = These Days)

Bottom chart left is God's Plan with SES on top sales on bottom, right is These Days.

from the figures , drake is clearly on the way down, was the big climb in week 5 due to the video effect?
I'm surprised at just how well Rudimental are holding up actually, I can't see them ever overtaking Drake naturally but it's good that they're so close. Of course them going to #1 would be wonderful but I just hope they don't do so by default.
Think this will be a case of 9 weeks, then a drop to 3-5 from ACR. I would love to see Friends nab a week, which as mentioned could happen with a well timed discount. I suspect it will be some surprise release which we aren’t aware of yet, as the top contenders in the current top 10 will have all lost momentum by then, unless they get some good promo.

Ariana is on her way... I reckon she’ll surprise-release a single before the end of April.

If it’s a good song she could go straight to #1.

I hope Drake f***s off before then though! Such a NOTHING song
