Just out of curiosity,

Are any other motor racing series that you'll be following this season apart from probably the obvious Formula One, Formula E.

I might give DTM a go this year. Depends what channel the coverage is on and if that's available to me wherever I'm living.

I will once again be watching the British Touring Car Championship live on ITV4 when it kicks off this weekend.

What a wally I am it starts next weekend.

Remarkable that Billy Monger who lost both his legs in that horrific crash which I saw live finished 3rd in the opening round of the British F3 Championship.

A bit late to the thread but I seriously recommend checking out the Indycar series. Plenty of drivers familiar to F1 fans, a genuinely competitve field throughout and there's some serious talent in there too. Josef Newgarden in particular sits behind only Fernando Alonso in my current favourite drivers list. There's genuine racing throughout the field, and it's every bit as tactical as F1. The only thing you can be sure of is that no team or car will be handing the driver a title on a plate.

Even if you don't have BT Sport, you can watch the race in full on YouTube on the IndyCar channel, which is good to know.

More thrilling action in the British Touring Car Championship at Donington Park on ITV4 could never tire of watching this.

On to Thruxton next we go for the next round of the British Touring Car Championship.

Should be worth watching.

Following on after Sunday's Monaco GP is another in motor racing's Triple Crown - the Indy 500. In complete contrast to Monte Carlo's tight twisty circuit this WILL feature 4 cars abreast, loads of slipstreaming and hundreds of on track overtaking maneouvres on a circuit rightfuly considered amongst the most pretigious and challenging in the world and all at an average speed of 230mph. And very much like Monaco it has solid walls waiting to end your race should you make the slightest mistake.

I recommend parking yourself on the sofa with some snacks and beers and enjoying two superb events on the same afternoon.

Amazing scenes in Detroit as the safety cars slams heads first into a concrete wall at 70mph on the parade lap for this weekend's 2nd Indycar race!

Wow from what I saw this weekend, a wacky DTM race, rain in pit lane has seen cars ploughing into marshals and garages on mandatory pit stops. Red flags as ambulances in pit lane.

Fernando Alonso has won the Le Mans 24hr. I'll be amazed if he stays in F1 now

I'll be very surprised if he didn't take in the 2019 Indy 500. What a great win for him and Toyota as well as ex-F1 drivers in Nakajima and Buemi.

And they've only gone and won the Silverstone 6h too

And an utterly terrifying accident for Robert Wickens at Pocono speedway

Apparently he's ok

Reminded me too much of Kenny Brack's crash in 2003. I heard Robert has been taken into hospital. Awful crash.

Yeah I can see that. Brack's was ridiculously bad (yet nowhere near the worst I've ever seen - Gordon Smiley sticks out), but fortunately Wckens' impact and subsequent rotations weren't quite as violent or destructive
