5H are such a mess and so far this album campaign is a disaster. 'Down' flopped and 'Angel' hasn't even managed Top 40 on iTunes yet - their first 2 albums tanked in the UK and can't see this doing anything different.

Their first two albums tanked, period. They didn't really do the business in the US either.

This all screams "ok, let's get this over with so we can drop you".

Lauren is clearly gearing up to be the new Camila.

I like Angel more than Down, ish, but yeah, we'll see how the album campaign goes. So far they seem to be sexing them up more but I'm not sure who that's for, crossover appeal maybe?

Bit of a misfire with Angel if they want success outside of US urban radio. Very messy release for them this time round!

Angel is growing on me but it really is far from their best. I agree it's becoming very messy, which is a shame as I had high hopes :(

It feels to me like they're being deliberately sabotaged. I feel a bit bad for them if I'm honest.

I think it's obvious that this is a "ok let's get this over with" release rather than a genuine investment.

They're clearly putting all the money into Camila.

It is pretty unfortunate implications.

A major selling point of Fifth Harmony was that they were five girls with different body shapes; now, as soon as there's tension and instability within the band, the label signs the most conventionally attractive member for a solo deal and focuses a lot of money and attention on her career.

Still, I'll not write them off yet, the new sound might see them picking up new fans and a new direction. This was a slightly risky direction to take them in and risks can go either way, good as well as bad.

What has the girls physical appearance got to do with their selling point when there is so much difference about them i.e. vocally, background, their musical styles, etc?

Angel is NOT a single guys it's just a promo track for Album and they've just happened to do a video for it. Like what they did with Write on Me for 7/27.

2.37 sounds like a dying child screaming in pain !!!

Sounds half-finished and rushed, it's such a mess lol

Anyone listened to that interview? I feel bad for them in that he really shouldn't have pushed for those questions when he'd probably see that it's making them uncomfortable/they didn't want to talk about it. However, I do feel like they could've handled it better than they did. Instead of whispering and being shady about it. They could've just said something like "we wish her the best, but we're here to talk about our music" or something.
So snippets of this leaked and to be it sound like their strongest effort to date. A few potential single choices, He Like That is slightly underwhelming from the snippet. Make You Mad, Lonely Night, Don't Say You Love Me (This albums Scared Of Happy/No More Sad Songs) and Messy sound promising. Sauced Up sounds like an obvious single choice to me. But DELIVER though. It sounds like it WILL Deliver!
This is going to flop incredibly hard, isn't it? Surprised the release date hasn't been push back.

Why push it back so it can do the same if not worse in a month or so.

The record label don't seem behind this so I suspect 4/Fifths Harmony to be dropped and split by the end of the year.

I can't believe they're releasing this with not even a Top 40 single to their name behind it. I don't think the album will even go Top 20, it's going to really struggle.

A mess.

Saying that, Down hung around outside the top 40 for a while and did well on streaming with literally 0 support. I wonder why Radio 1 and Capital wouldn't support after the last era managed 3 hits.
