VERY POOR ALBUM. Everything's so boring and bland and I agree with the above it's shocking that 'Down' is the only song that had potential.

The new video is good but I actually turned off halfway through because the song sounds so monotone the whole way through.

I didn't think Camilla leaving would have this big of an impact they sound so bland without her vocals.

It is a bit bland, I will listen again to some of the tracks probably.

I like down a bit but it is quite basic.

This could be the final nail in the coffin

And to the person above who said they have 3 hits from the last era

One hit and then some flop follow up singles is a more realistic portayal

I was pleasantly surprised when I streamed this album for the first time. I've bought 5 of the tracks. I think an album like this would also suit Little Mix!

I think it would sound better if Camila was on it, though. Ally sounds like her in He Like That!

I'm surprised that this is getting positive reviews as I think it's lacking everywhere - cringey lyrics/subject matter, no personality and just very generic. I do think they have potential tho, so hopefully they get another album to prove themselves with.
I don't think it's as good as Reflection, but I like it more than 7/27. Loving Make You Mad most at the moment, found I was singing Lonely Night a lot at work yesterday.
I'm not getting the hate for the album on here tbh . I'm actually really enjoying it apart from 1 or 2 tracks that are definitely filler. The rest is really good for me and I've been bopping a lot to it . I also don't see why some people think they will be over after this album ? There still one of the most popular groups out atm, for example the 'He Like That Video' already has over 2 million views after being out for a few hours and there peforming at the VMA's Sunday which most artists would kill to perform at .

It's so bland though :(

I keep trying and it's so generic and not at all catchy.

The past two albums had so much more potential Work From Home, Flex, That's My Girl and even Write On Me are all so much better than anything on this album.

I think its the lack of Camilla's tone :(

I think it's obvious no one cares for this album with 'He Like That' not even top 100 on iTunes after the video premiere.

I agree, Camila is I think what's really missing for me. The rest just don't have distinctive or interesting voices, Camila anchored them and broke that up a bit. From the few I've heard on this album, it's just really boring and samey, it's like 4 clones of the same person singing some bland R&B lite that would get average reviews on any given blog. There's no personality or oomph to it, virtually anyone could release it.
the album's supposedly set to miss the top 10 (says Mint Royale), I can't say I'm surprised though as it really does seem like the label are giving all the good songs to Camila.

I've been away for the last week so I've not been able to listen to the album. Just listened to He Like That and the video is so good! Why couldn't they have swapped videos with Down for that? :(

I listened to this again today at work...

I was a lot more into it tbh. Maybe I should stick with it.

And I'm sorry but, 'Down' is a banger! so underrated. Basic af, but a real earworm!

I know right, it's basic af but such a f***ing bop *.* it really didn't do that badly when you consider it had no support.

In the UK if you look at their chart performance from Worth It to That's My Girl it's pretty decent when you factor in the level of support they've had. I agree, I don't think it is that bad given they've never really had a massive platform to launch on over here in the UK other than two big promo slots on BGT and X-Factor for Boss and Work From Home.

Worth It - #3 - Certified Gold

Work From Home - #2 - Certified 2x platinum

All In My Head Flex - #25 - Certified Silver

That's My Girl - #26 - Certified Silver

Obviously certifications and sales aren't everything but Down's under performance has ruined their half decent streak they had going of having a few top 40 hits.

So my verdict. 1.Down is pretty basic but I've really grown to like it! So the rest of the album on first listen:

2. He Like That - I really loved the video and it was an improvement on the Angel and Down videos. Definitely can see this growing to me!

3. Sauced Up - pretty forgetable by the time I got to Make You Mad

4. Make You Mad - Loving this one on first listen!!!!!

5. Deliver - sounds a bit dated but when that chorus comes in and the beat comes in too, it's pretty decent!

6. Lonely Night - pleasant but I can't see myself coming back to it as also pretty forgetable

7. Don't Say You Love Me - love a midtempo and Ally sounds fantastic on this!

8. Angel - definitely wasn't a fan of this on first listen when it was released with the promo vid but it fits so much better in the context of the album

9. Messy - sounds very similar to Gonna Get Better from 7/27 which I wasn't a fan of. Does it have lyrics from Wasn't Me by Shaggy??? something about a bathroom floor?

10. Bridges - DRAG TRUMP :cheer:  the girls sound fantastic on this, lovely album closer!

Overall for first impressions it doesn't come close to beating 7/27 which is my favourite girl group album since Headlines, but I am disappointed that there has been a huge lack of overall promotion.

I can't see any of them breaking through as solo artists. At least not to the extent of Camila. Normani has potential but I don't think she will fulfil that potential on a commercial scale. Lauren I have a feeling could be the dark horse though. She seems to have quite a following. But yeah, ultimately none of them will be quite Camila levels of popularity.
Split announcement imminent if you believe The Sun: https://www.thesun.co.uk/tvandshowbiz/43356...camila-cabello/

(I think we all expect it though)

It's from the Sun and they've just had a fallout with Dan Wootton a few weeks ago who more than likely wrote this so I'm pretty sure it's not true lol. Them seem very happy and content as a group now watching interviews from them so I can't see them splitting up anytime soon.
