Ugh if it doesn’t get released before the album is out then it’s going to end up a #68 smash due to cherry picking sales (Assuming they don’t make it album only - Sigala has seen the interest in the song and they could use it as a tool to try and force album sales?).

From Daily Star a few days ago.

Superstar DJ Sigala has at last finished his new dance track with Kylie Minogue but she’s yet to hear the final version.

The Came Here For Love hitmaker told me: “I played what I thought was the final version to Kylie.

“She absolutely loved it and was dancing around. But I’ve completely changed it again since then and not told her.”

Sigala performed at Manchester Pride yesterday, while Rita Ora was headlining today.

He added: “I got sent a song from Rita’s camp recently.

“Hopefully something might come of that, possibly for her new album.

It could be possible the track will be used for Golden re-release and possible the single to promote the new edition of the album.
I just hope whatever they do with the Sigala track that it’s not a hot mess of a release (ie: by putting it on album only for months)
If that happens, it will be a complete wasted opportunity.

My gut instinct is telling me this is going to be a mess :nocheer:

They want to release it in early 2019 as a single so if it does appear on Sigala’s album and the Golden re-issue then it will be cherry picked or obtained via CD. If it’s made album only then it’ll be all over the internet and sales will be lost.

The only thing it has going for it I guess is if they release it in the quite January month and start to build up hype, club and radio play and start pushing streaming in December. I’d love nothing more than for Kylie to start 2019 with a Top 10 hit (Wishful thinking seeing as we have only heard a 10 second snippet so far :kink: )

Some record companies really appear to struggle on how to handle singles.

This has potential but is showing signs of getting totally messed up.

Between messed up and wrong choices it has made success more difficult.

This all happened at a time when the industry was changing and Kylie more than ever needed to be spot on with the releases and ensure they were handled correctly.

The problem for a number of years now too many of kylies releases have been messed up.

So many :drama: The actual mess of a release strategy with ‘Timebomb’ easily cost it Top 15 along with so many others.

Yes, so many at this point prior to the Golden era.

While Dancing was handled very well i still believe if the physical was released earlier it could have achieved a Top 30 status.

Stop Me From Falling could have went Top 40 with a more cohesive release.

Golden was handled atrociously and A Lifetime To Repair isn't much better.

With that said, Golden the album, was handled brilliantly when viewed from an album perspective.

If the singles were handled better the album could have benefited more greatly.

3 weeks until the Sigala album is released and we finally get to hear the collab :cheer:
I am looking forward to it and i hope it lives up to our expectations or the standard we have received with Golden material.

Literally counting down to next Friday so we get to hear it! I pre-ordered a signed copy from his website so hopefully it’ll arrive a day earlier
We've been waiting for ages for this so I'm pleased we're just over a week away from hearing it at long last. Hope it doesn't disappoint!

I think this will leak by Wednesday hopefully!

What a week to be a Kylie fan - New Golden cassette, Sainsburys/Amazon Vinyl, Tour and new Sigala track :cheer:

Def a great week plus the tour is on and a new version of golden on the way. 2018 is the year to be a kylie fan.
Sigala tweeted that there will be previews of each album track on Monday :w00t:
