I don't think 'Lifetime' even cracked the top 100 on iTunes.. Currently down to #198.

This isn't...going well.

After a few listens I like Lifetime although its certainly not what I was expecting. The production is a bit Daft Punk-esque. The verses are great with a very good vocal and I especially like the second verse with the buildup but the production in the second chorus after that big buildup is perhaps a bit underwhelming.

I’m baffled at the muted reaction on here - both “It Gets Better” and “Lifetime” are marvellous, especially the latter. I’m looking forward to the album !!

My opinion still hasn't changed, though It Gets Better is still my favourite of the two.

I think it'll just take some time to adjust to the distinct change in production they've gone with

iTunes

196. Swedish House Mafia - Don't You Worry Child (Radio Edit) [feat. John Martin] (+255)

310. Swedish House Mafia - It Gets Better (-82)

1375. Swedish House Mafia - Lifetime (feat. Ty Dolla $ign & 070 Shake) (-760)

 Wow.

I'm willing to give this a shot~

Oops I was feeling too optimistic clearly

This is...not what I wanted :( Like it maybe could grow with time, but it just feels like such a weak comeback after nine years, the worst thing is I would never guess that this was Swedish House Mafia if I was listening blind, and their productions always had such a clear distinction about them.

If this is what Swedish House Mafia are releasing now I would rather have another Axwell Λ Ingrosso album because ‘Sun is Shining’’, ‘Something New’ and ‘More Than You Know’ are still sounding good and kind of what I expected their comeback to sound like.

For those of you who wanted a Swedish House Mafia single to actually be a progressive house track, DJs From Mars have us covered - 'Lifetime' mash-up with 'Seven Days and One Week'!

I really don't get the reception to 'It Gets Better' - a much better comeback single from them than I was expecting to be honest! (I had low expectations even before seeing the reception here because they released too few songs to really put a stain on their discography, it was bound to happen eventually - having said that I'm still in my hot take of thinking 'Don't You Worry Child' was comfortably their weakest song and the massive overplay didn't help :kink:) I get that it's maybe not what people wanted from a comeback single from them as it's not exactly a massive banger in the same way as their previous singles but I'm surprised so many people are saying it's bad. Reminds me a little of some of Prospa's songs.

I've not heard 'Lifetime' yet, I reserve the right to turn around and agree with that being garbage x

Go girl give us nothing with that preview *.*

Learnt my lesson from the last two releases. I'll reserve hype and judgement until I hear it.

hope it's not another Ctrl+C Ctrl+V Daft Punk again.
