This exceeded beyond my expectations, its probably ranked in my personal best inside the top 5. I do agree it took quite a while for the main character to develop at the start of the film, after that it just sped through. Quite an enjoyable film to watch loved the homage to Stan Lee, and for me Goose the cat stole the show, when the tentacles came out of his mouth or whatever it was... just freaked me out  did not see that coming. The soundtracks used in the movie was pretty much spot on, especially with the fight scene towards the end of the film.

YES!!! This movie is amazing and is easily my second fav Marvel movie after Thor Ragnarok. This is how you do a proper female superhero movie! (Not that I didn't enjoy Wonder Woman but this is so much better)

My favourite scene was probably when she fights with Jude Law and he's like "prove to me you can beat me without using your powers" and she punches him back and says "I don't need to prove anything to you!" -- I was so happy at that scene because for me this just felt like it could be SO empowering for young girls and the whole movie does too in fact.

I'm still a bit high from watching this but I def don't agree with what y'all are saying about Brie, she was just phenomenal imo.

I agree in regards to Brie. I loved the more human side of a superhero we saw. I think it's why Cap Am is my fave superhero. I feel it's a lot easier to connect with them than say Tony or Bruce etc..

Just went to see this tonight, it's almost perfect - if only it wasn't as "slow" in the beginning as was said before, but still easily one of my Top 10 MCU movies.

Goose needs a solo movie. :kink:

It’s a bit cliche but I’m so happy to see how many women and young girls seem to be loving this.

I agree with cantthinkofaname, too. It was much better than Wonder Woman. Wonder Woman exceeded my expectations at the time because the franchise had been so shit, but outside of how amazing Diana is, it’s distinctly average. While Captain Marvel still feels very structured to the ‘origin’ narrative we usually get, it felt a lot more fully formed than Wonder Woman.

(Not that we need to compare them. They can both slay in their own way)

IMO the biggest and best difference is that the team behind Captain Marvel didn't feel the need to add in an unnecessary romance plot, while there just had to be one included in Wonder Woman.

I finally got round to seeing this today. Such a brilliant film I really enjoyed seeing it. Excited to see how she fits into End Game, can't wait to see that.
